I see the kop and a new hotel if I click the link![]()
I think that's the existing 'new' hotel shown in the background. The flats do appear to be on the drawings but not detailed. :/

Why fill the corners in with not seats?
Leave them be until a time where seats might be required.
Spot on JD. The hotel is the existing one but in the background behind the new Enterprise Centre. The flats/student accommodation is a different application altogether which is why they aren't detailed.I think that's the existing 'new' hotel shown in the background. Maybe this is an opportunity for a standing section at the back? For those wishing to stand of course.
Might be worth asking Jimbo.
Hmm... http://www.insidermedia.com/insider/yorkshire/blades-to-kickstart-bramall-lane-redevelopment?
On the one hand, I'd be absolutely delighted to see an end to the pillars of the Kop, which was the main reason I thought we'd brought in civil engineer and occasional footballer Martyn Woolford over the summer.
On the other hand, I'd prefer this was just a replacement with a better Kop of the same size. 37,000 ground capacity seems excessive.
EXCLUSIVE: BLADES TO KICKSTART BRAMALL LANE REDEVELOPMENT
10th Nov 2015 Yorkshire Matthew Ord

Sheffield United FC have expressed their desire to start construction work on the redevelopment of their historic Bramall Lane ground "as soon as possible" after taking the steps required to trigger a planning permission originally secured in 2009.
That approval, which the Blades successfully extended in 2013, involves an extension to the Kop Stand, alterations to the North East corner of the stadium, alongside the erection of a business enterprise centre and associated infrastructure.
The League One club has now submitted an application to discharge a series of conditions from the original approval, which need to be satisfied before work can begin. These include providing samples of all external materials and finishes, drawing up a landscape scheme for the area, submitting details of the construction process and undertaking highways improvements.
The application covering the discharge of conditions has been drawn up by Zerum Consult. In a letter to Sheffield City Council, the development consultancy confirms the club are "keen to start work on site as soon as possible".
The Kop extension will add an extra 3,215 seats. The major redevelopment, which will require the removal of the stand’s roof, is also designed to allow new hospitality, conference and exhibition space, new offices for the club and media facilities. The additional seating will be located atop a concourse area with club offices and a car park beneath.
The entirety of the resulting structure will be covered by a large cantilevered truss roof with familiar supporting steel work projecting from the Shoreham Street elevation.
Changes proposed to the North East corner are "exclusively internal" and will result in improved views for supporters, as well as the introduction of additional viewing boxes.
The business centre will be seven domestic storeys in height and occupy a rectangular footprint adjoining both the South Stand and Kop Stand. It will house office space and a TV/media centre.
GMI Construction Group has been appointed to the project.
Bramall Lane is the oldest major league ground in the world, having hosted its first game in 1862. The original redevelopment masterplan envisaged a 44,500-capacity stadium, up from the ground's current 33,000 seats, able to stage games for the 2018 FIFA World Cup which England was at the time hopeful of hosting.
The extension is to be carried out in two phases with the Kop element of the scheme first, taking capacity up to 37,000, followed by the South Stand. An extension of time for the South Stand permission was secured in 2014.
Hotel or business centre it makes little difference it should be seats in a football stadium which is what Bramall lane is allegedly not a phuckin business park to line McCabe's pockets. One thing is for sure it will be done on the cheap as an extension of the existing kop with the poor rake and a bit of grey metal cladding to make it look good from the street.
Are you for real ? your last sentence should put you on the right track other clubs have their hotels etc behind the stands not in the stands. Are the pigs so backward ? their function rooms are just as good as the ones at the lane, yes they don't have a hotel or offices added on to the sty but just ask yourself do the offices and the hotel at the lane put money into the team like the 7000 extra seats at the sty could or into McCabe's pockets ? don't forget he owns the ground Sheffield United are just tenants.Metal,
Name me a football that is only 100% used as a football stadium?
Surely apart from the odd ground in the bottom division there can't be many in pro football these days.
It's the 21st century not the 19th century.
We don't want to be as backward as SWFC who due to the old fashioned design have mainly football related revenue streams. Also to be fair what businessman would make any kind of investment in anything without having an expectation of some kind of return. Every club does it. Chelsea have Chelsea Village with luxery apartments behind their stand.

Why do you love McCabe so much ?Do you have an objection to businesses making money ?
Or do you just hate McCabe so much its just him you dont like making any money ?
Why do you love McCabe so much ?
He could make a lot more money having a team in the premiership than pissing about with student flats and unwanted office spaces. I'll ask you the question does the hotel or business centre at the lane put anything into the team or does any money made go into McCabe's pockets after being filtered down through all his subsidiary companies. Maybe it is just easier to strip assets.
So you can't or won't answer the questionThink we would have been fucked without him and been in Admin a couple of times
Why do you hate him so much ?
In the real world businesses have to make a profit to exist surely you must understand that
office space and the hotel dont have a detrimental effect of the capacity of the ground and make the outside of the ground look a little nicer
So you can't or won't answer the question. If you can see offices from the pitch they have a detrimental effect on capacity but fuck it eh they make the ground look nice ........................... fuck investing in the squad, some people fuckin hell .......

Can I try and negotiate the sale of any items such as a proposed business centre to the McCabe family for a sum of more than a pound please?
We're getting 7000 extra seats so what's your point caller? Are you for real?.....their function rooms are just as good as the ones at the lane, yes they don't have a hotel or offices added on to the sty but just ask yourself do the offices and the hotel at the lane put money into the team like the 7000 extra seats at the sty could or into McCabe's pockets ?.
McCabe is paying for it so I don't see how anyone can complain. Get it started I say. At least something positive is happeningShouldn't McCabe be footing the bill for this anyway? The company that owns the club doesn't own the ground. I don't see why that company should pay anything.
