I want Boro to win purely because I have no beef with them as a club, and because one of my best mates is a Boro fan, so I've developed a soft spot for them over the years I've known him.

Plus the meltdown from Southampton fans is already generational...it can only get funnier if the side they beat in the semis goes on to win the lot.

Before the play offs I wanted Millwall to win, thought Southampton actually would.

Now I’m not too fussed, I think I’d probably just about fall on the Hull side of the fence, I would like McBurnie, Eegs and Slater to win promotion, Mardstrum can fuck off but he’s there too…

Also as much as Hull can be annoying, we do owe them a lot of credit, especially Mo Diame for their play off final win against Pigs in 2016

If their players didnt have relegation clauses in their contracts then I think they will struggle to keep their best players if I am right in thinking that many of them played in the Premier League during the 2024-25 season.

I want Hull to win because I am friends with Matt Crooks' family. His dad played in the same football team as me at Monchengladbach in 1983. His mum was 4 years below me at a boarding school near Newbury.

Personally I think Middlesbrough have already lost, Southampton have been kicked out for obvious reasons the EFL should just promote Hull without the final to me that seems fair

Middlesbrough were the best team we played all year and took our sorry lot to the cleaners, which is more than can be said for Hull who were distinctly average both times we played them.

I'd also quite enjoy seeing Lundstram moping around the field at Wembley knowing he'll never play Premier League football again.
