If you're to believe Heckingbottom's words in the pre-match press-conference, then there would seem to be quite a bit of positive news on the injury front.
Firstly, McAtee and Clark were named on the substitutes bench for our trip to Rotherham. McAtee did 20 mins, Clark unused.
Tommy Doyle got a calf niggle in training which ruled him out of the trip to Rotherham, but apparently he is "back on the grass" with Baldock and Fleck.
Others have said it, but I'd be hesitant to bring Doyle in on a permanent. He's unavailable a lot and I don't think he's shown much improvement in his time here.
The great news is that all being well, we might expect McAtee, Baldock, Clark, Fleck and Jebbison to be back in the squad by the time we face Middlesbrough.
This would give us great depth to tackle this tough run of fixtures that's coming up.
No updates provided on Stevens, Brewster or RND.
Revised guesses below:
C Clark - mid-February 2023 (4 weeks) - hamstring strain
D Jebbison - mid-February 2023 (3 games) - suspension
T Doyle - mid-February 2023 (2 weeks) - calf
J Fleck - mid-February 2023 - (3 months) swelling around previously broken leg
G Baldock - mid-February 2023 - unknown muscular injury (4 weeks)
E Stevens - late-February 2023 - unknown muscular injury (6 weeks)
R Brewster - March 2023 (5 months) - hamstring surgery
R Norrington-Davies - March 2023 (5 months) - hamstring surgery
J O'Connell - unlikely to return (2.5 years+) - knee
Guess at the team for Wrexham:
..............................Davies
......Basham.........Egan.......Robinson
...Bogle..............................................Osborn
..........Berge......Norwood.....Coulibaly
....................Sharp.........McBurnie
Subs: Foderingham, Clark, Ahmedhodzic, Lowe, McAtee, Ndiaye, Marsh.
Worth noting Anel took a heavy knock away at Rotherham. He played on, but he might be feeling a bit sore.
Some of the youngsters you might have expected to see in the squad: Osula (broken jaw), Arblaster (pneumonia), Sachdev - are either injured / returning from injuries / illness and won't be risked.
