Injuries

The last time we saw Brewster he was on crutches too.

Realistically, our options are now (probably) McBurnie and Sharp. Very far from ideal.

Can't get much further than those 2 not working as a pairing. Billy now just does his own thing. Trys to win free kicks and wind the clock down. Can't see him being effective on a pitch the size of Wembley chasing 50 yard punts from Norwood who will be stood next to Egan.

What do these fucking idiot international coaches do to players the second they turn up to train with them? This is beyond belief

If we get away with just Jebbison being out for the season that'll be a fucking miracle

It goes without saying of course that nothing will happen to any of Boro's players

Fuck an international break at this time. Can't blame clubs for inventing injuries for their players. We need to start doing the same
Exactly. It's an absolutely retarded time for an intentional break.

Just about to hit the business end of the season where outcomes worth billions can be decided and they stick key players on planes to play on surfaces of varying degrees under different coaching methods.

I don't suppose the FA is going to pay us 150m if we fall short by one goal here or there because we may be short one scoring option.

Early season, fine. Summer, fine.

Right near the business end where any marginal gain may be the difference between success and failure. Absolutely not fucking fine at all.

Good job we pulled Osula back in Jan in that case
Still very raw but better than nothing!
Unless we ended up with an opposite to the Joelinton scenario with Newcastle but switched Berge to a striker! 😂

Baldock away with on international duty with Greece apparently hasn’t been able to train due to calf issue . Really hope he’s ok been on the top of his game since coming back

Baldock?
Jebbison?
Osborn
Brewster
RND

Have I missed anymore? Hopefully we could get all these five fit for next month (I wish)

Baldock was back in training for Greece.

Question mark over Jebbo at the moment.

The other 3 are looking increasingly unlikely we will see them again this season.

Seems like Brewster and RND got injured 181883 months ago.

Never known hamstring Injuries like our players have.

RND got sidelined in November it is now March. His original injury was meant to be 10 weeks out.

Brewster has been out since the away game at West Brom which was end of October.

Sheffield United manager Paul Heckingbottom says Daniel Jebbison has picked up an injury on international duty and will be absent on Sat. Ben Osborn has suffered an ‘accident’ not related to his injury, which has set him back in his attempts to get back in the squad.

Hecky on Osborn:

Ossie has had an accident and he is seeing a specialist. It's not injury related, it's not his hamstring. He's had an accident and we need to make sure he's taken care of and his health is OK.

It's physical.

Firstly if Osborn is injured in any way I want to wish him well, no lasting damage and a speedy recovery.

However….

If the stories are correct, what the hell is a professional footballer doing heading off overseas to a stag do right in the middle of the season at a crucial point in time?

This is why footballers get paid lots of money compared to mere mortals. It’s because they are supposed to make sacrifices and remain laser focused when the season opens to when it closes.

Even if nothing happened, going out on a huge piss up mid season just because there is a free weekend is reckless and irresponsible.

I thought he was the clever one, the one with common sense. He has a potential Wembley appearance to look forward to and we have a huge amount of games in April. Why would you put yourself in that situation and not rest up?

Basing the above of the rumours are true. But there isn’t normally smoke without fire with these things.

bye bye to Ben Osborn's new contract!

I reckon it depends on the circumstances but if he was shitfaced and did something stupid then he needs the book throwing at it.

I have no issue with him going to a stag do, mid season, if he isn't drinking. Drinking would slow his recover time for his hamstring, if nothing else.

Running low on fit bodies. Warnock got to Wembley but had no fit strikers left to win with he blamed the cup run.

I don't think we are too bad at the moment to be honest.

Plenty of CBs and 2 fit RWBs

LWB remains a challenge, but we have Lowe and (gulp) Stevens, with Clark or JLT being able to drop in there too if necessary.

Midfield is fine.

Losing Jebbo is a blow, but Osula is fit again and can provide cover, plus we seem to have settled on playing 2 attacking mids behind 1 striker recently, so we might be ok with 3 fit strikers. (4 depending on how you class Ndiaye)

It would be lovely to get RND and Brewster back for the final few games though, but it seems highly unlikely. They don't seem anywhere near being ready.

Agree, not in a bad state.
Jebbison is a huge loss though. We don't have a game changing option in the pack without him. Hopefully it's not too serious.

Without wanting to push too much expectation on him, Osula looked better than Jebbison at the end of last season.

He’s looked sharp since returning from injury and if it is a sub role he’ll be playing I personally think he’s more suited to an impact role than Jebbo in that he really is quite a handful physicality. His time at Derby did him no harm.

Same age as Jebbo too, within a month. Quite looking forward to seeing him involved again.

If Ozzy is out, would like to see Coulibaly in the matchday squad too.

I don’t want to be going to Wembley with Berge, Norwood and Fleck without Coulibaly’s athleticism. I’d like to see him favoured over Fleck unless he’s somehow moved towards prime John rather than Jimmy!

Brewster now confirmed as being out for the season.

Can't exactly say you'll miss what you never had.

So glad we pursued him instead of Balogan!
