Plenty of fight and heart shown by our lads today. The first half was a bit frantic with neither side really getting hold of the ball. Then Morgan got sent off (straight red... three match ban) just before half time and things looked a bit worrying.
But whatever KB said at half time obviously worked. Stephen Quinn's goal was sexual and the lad looked ever so slightly pleased. Cue booking for shirt off celebration. The penalty had to be given considering Morgan's sending off and Beats was as calm as ever.
The front two were knackered and never stopped running.
I was surprised Cotterill was taken off for Ehiogu at half time but you have to admit that it worked. Speed was assured and sat back which allowed Quinn and Tonge to run their little legs off.
Naysmith made some crucial challenges. Killa was a rock. Ehiogu did what he needed to do. Halls was helped greatly by Beattie dropping back and possibly just needs to sharpen up his reflexes as a few times he was slow to react to loose balls (oo er missus!). Paddy made some decent saves but was well protected by his defence.
Morgan... the sending off was a bit soft. It was at least a booking and he'd been booked before so would have been off... but I don't think it really warranted a straight red for the position Paddy was in.
On another note. We had a Hull fan sat directly behind us in the Directors Box. What an absolute prick. The amount of times we had to tell him to shut up in the first half was unbelievable. Why he thought the home fans wanted to hear his self-important biased views I don't know. I reported him to my lovely steward at half time who said "slap him"
The look on his face as I turned round and gave him a little wave at 1-0 could've soured milk. He had his head in his hands at 2-0. I hope your car breaks down on your miserable journey home and by the time you get there, you realise your wife's left you for the milkman... twatface
BTW... my MOTM was Quinny. Kicked all over and still running at the final whistle. There are plenty of other players in the running though I should imagine...
