Pre-injury I'd have said Arblaster.

He was reportedly on Brighton's list.
Had he gone there and made any sort of impact I think he'd have been called up eventually. I think the part that separates him from Peck is the 'wing-mirrors.' He knows everything that's going on around him and is able to take the ball and move it on in one motion. Kobbie Mainoo (when on form) is also exceptional at this.
Post-injury, we really need to see how he comes back but it's a bit setback.

Seriki could be anything. If he bulks up further and improves his defending, then the sky's the limit.
If he doesn't, then you might be looking at a similar career trajectory to someone like Isaiah Jones, a similar profile but never properly kicked on.

The most obvious call-up would be Cooper.
If we manage to go up I think he'll attract attention regardless of how we do.
If we were to subsequently drop and a Brentford, Bournemouth etc. pick him up then I'd expect it wouldn't be long..

To JJBlade 's point, I clearly agree.
I wouldn't expect the England lot to come calling until they're in an established PL team.

And once again he's here to slag off the poster rather than understand the post

They will not get capped whilst they play for us, that's a fact.
If Jagielka, Maguire and Walker played their entire careers for us they'd have never seen a cap either.

Mad as it seems to us who see Cooper week in week out he’s probably about in 6th place when it comes to England selection behind Pickford, Hando, Ramsdale, Trafford, Pope..

As for the others I think Peck is the most likely especially if he gets a move after next season back to London, West Ham or some where, and he kicks on.

Imagine one day it could be Ramsdale v Hendo v Coops vying for england... we've had some top keepers in the past 5 years

Ramsdale is finished as an International Keeper. Couldn't cut it at Arsenal and is about to be relegated from the Premiership for the 3rd time in 4 years.

Coops is good but unless he improves his footwork and distribution he will not be international level.

Pickford has a contract with the National team until 2045 so Cooper won't get a game, that said I think there is a case for him to get a call-up, he's up there amongst that group of GKs now with regards to quality imo

I think Peck is a better all round midfielder than Arblaster.

For me, Peck is like a Paul Scholes, where as Arblaster is more of a Gerrard/Lampard.
Wasn't Scholes awful at tackling? Or am I confusing him with someone else?

Considering keepers aren't injured much it's the hardest place to break in. Henderson has been at similar or above Cooper level in performance since 2019 and has a handful of caps.

Depends on injuries. I'd say Arblaster, but he has tough competition + taking away our bias, is he as good as Wharton, Mainoo etc?
Peck's ahead of him in the queue because he's from Dahn Sahf

And don't forget Joe Shaw and Alan Woodward.
Tony Currie got six caps whilst playing for us for nine years, and low and behold he moves to Leeds plays for only a couple of years and gets eleven
Alan Hodgkinson barely played for England either

England's current order is Pickford/Henderson/Trafford/Ramsdale/Pope. Realistically, Cooper is fourth on that list but he won't get into Tuchel's thoughts unless he is absolutely outstanding if and when we're in the Premier League. He'll be reliant on an injury to one of the top three.

As an aside, I see Ramsdale has been linked with Leeds if they're promoted. Please, please let that come to pass.

Three years for Leeds, eight years for us. He was only 18 when he joined us.

I bow down to your superior knowledge and memory/research SB
Point still stands though, I think Currie played his best years for us and got practically no international recognition, he moves to Leeds and has three ordinary years but was then deemed to be good enough

I think it was Frank Worthington who claimed that Don Revie told him, Currie, Alan Hudson and another player, (I can't remember who now), that they wouldn't get picked for England whilst he was manager because they weren't dodgy Don's type of player.

Well I can guarantee cooper will be busy next year if we go up..so plenty o time to show his credentials.

Ramsey rated TC highly, Revie didn't

Probably somebody like Stan Bowles
