Not that we were linked to him, but just seen that Bradford have let Devante Cole leave for FLEETWOOD?!?

Looked a cracking young player whenever I've seen him and notched quite a few for them early in the season. I reckon he's got a very big future in the game, at a higher level than League One. Would anyone have had him at The Lane?

Are Bradford in financial trouble and having to cut the cloth? Or is he just not as good as I'm led to believe and just developed high expectations because of his dad...?

From what i've seen of him this season, apart from a couple of good games at the start of the season he doesn't look anything special. Couldn't get in Bradfords team for the last couple of months - could see his career going more the way of John Cofie...

The latter mate, definitely.

Definitely more John Cofie than Andrew Cole, let's be honest.

A donkey so to speak...

He's average at best, probably wouldn't have got as far as he has, were it not for his Fathers reputation. :(

He's just not very good. There was a bit of hype because of is Dad but when given chances he's shown he's not very good.

And don't let goalscoring stats cloud the fact that his father was rubbish as well.

He's always looked very useful when I've seen him. But he's young and raw. Probably not playing due to poor decision making, lack of positional sense etc (like Che Adams). I still think he has a decent future in the game IF his attitude is right

You mean like about 15 years in the top flight at a goal every other game and 15m in transfer fees, them sort of stats?

I'll bear that in mind when I'm watching our lads tomorrow. Thank God we won't have anyone as rubbish as that.

Now where have I heard that before? Answers on a postcard to......

Of course we should sign him. We should sign every player who is ever linked with any other club anywhere in the world. They're all fantabulous players who would do a job for us and rip this league apart. If we don't sign each and every player who is currently available we have missed out yet again.

Other clubs would not be chasing these players if they were not all really, really, really good, every one of them, without exception.

Wake up United

.....Gerremin....Gerremallin!

He was a promising player but if he can't cut it at Bradford then he will just end up in non league football.

His Dad was a superb footballer, he had nearly every attribute going, pace, technique, touch and an eye for goal, just couldn't get on with Teddy Sheringham, which was a shame :(

I remember a young Andy Cole playing for Bristol City against Utd, he looked a class above even then and scored a great goal at the Bramall Lane end. I seem to think it was a night game and he may have been on loan from Arsenal at the time?

I'm afraid Devante isn't fit to lace his Dads boots :)

Interesting that you have an ex Fleetwood player as your avatar :)

Mrs Sitwell first ever game of football ,Andrew was brilliant ,Devante is wank and getting a career on the back of his dads name.

This lad would certainly bring the pace we've all been crying out for. He's absolutely rapid , would be within our budget, plus he's only 22 so he's got time to improve. I reckon he would be a good signing for us and would scare defenders to death once he gets going. Not doing too bad at Fleetwood and maybe we could offload someone like Hanson as a deal. Oh and he's the son of Andy Cole by the way

My wife's nephew is a young keeper on the verge of their squad and says 8 times out of 10 he misses the target in training. Pace yes, can he keep the ball at the same time, usually no.

I liked him when I first saw him at MK and Barnsley when he was about 19. Thought with his pace he had the potential to be a very good striker. Unfortunately, he's failed to really kick on since and have a prolific season at all. Still pretty young and I wouldn't be completely against it but for me, was one of those that would have been a good signing in League 1, not so sure in the championship.

Jim Chimmerney's friends at Fleetwood have seen more of Devante than you have so I would trust the opinion of those who have seen more of him and it is no thanks from me
