I think I ( and by the looks of it most of the fanbase )
Have read between the lines and assumed we were going to keep the nucleus of the squad together and add maybe half a dozen quality additions in areas we were short last season
I'm getting the vibe now that with tge profile of player we are being linked with and the lack of activity with the dore training ground that we are entering a period of cloth cutting and targeting cheap young lower league players who I assume are scoring high data wise and will be seen as future assets
Listening to the ntt20 boys yesterday and they summed up perfectly their view on the owners who seem to have gone all in on this risky strategy at the wrong time when maybe sticking with what. We had might have been the safer bet
I was all for Wilder going and selles coming in ,hopefully the fitness levels improve and I think the squad is crying out for a coach to come in and take them to another level
But I think signings wise the highest profile player we are being linked with is Ashley Phillips and I think.all this talk of Barry, brooks ,doyle ect is just fans hoping, it doesnt look like they are the profile of player we are in for and I think that is a very all in strategy and makes me very nervous but excited
I for one can say in all honesty my expectations have been exceeded.
I said from day one of the links beware Yanks.
Just 1 step above Nigerian Princes unable to access their multi-millions.
The land of bankrupts, cowboys and shysters
And so far they have far exceeded my idea of how big a set of shysters they could possibly be.
Sadly with scope for even more, and NOT just players.
As for Wilder going and Selles coming in.
All the same flaws, the same stupidity, the same disregard of the fundamentals of practical football.
Both just pedants - only the nominal 'mandatory' formations are different.
The biggest difference is Wilder is a journeyman manager who despises using (our) young players and wants an easy time with experienced but not seriously talented players who may question or even worst become a fans favourite
Whereas Selles is prepared to work with youth and accept this shit show,
It could be quite funny if even he walks out.
Perhaps to match the LOL comical performance of McCallum at right back last home game. Poor sod.
At the current rate of signings we might not get anyone experienced in before the window.
Although that was NOT a worry (experience defensively) before this lot got to work.
The last day loans market is looking as if it has got to do an awful lot of work and as I stated before day one of the season, we become a LESS attractive destination with every day - except for the desperate.
