I’ve seen a lot of negative comments about fans fighting and falling out with each other.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone sat around me , my son and my dad in block 122 , row 43 entrance B.

Amazing positive atmosphere throughout, plenty of singing, plenty of tactic chat.

Made my son feel right at home (he’s 8) high fives and lifting him up when we scored.

Top blades! Thanks.

Yeah, I'll echo what I said in the other thread.

Cheers to the three lads in block 109 who were lovely and considerate of our daughter (also 8). Offering to sit down so she could see (she was happy enough to stand on her seat) and remaining mindful of the limbs!

She had a fab time despite the result. It's the biggest crowd she's ever been in. I remember how small I used to feel when first going to games at around the same age and how intimidating and aggressive the atmosphere can be.

Love to hear that .. I agree whole heartedly ❤️

Fans round me nothing but a pleasure. In fact, I was standing up far too much (too much excitement) and got told to Si dahhhnnn a few times. Which I did, cos I’m not a total twat. Just abit of one.
Had a horrible time in block 106 . People standing all through game and was unable to see the match .This despite several warnings about standing on the big screen. Although the block was designated as a family area a few cretins were seated behind us uttering the most foul language throughout. I've been to all the play off finals, definitely the worst experience.

Yep same in 108 meaning my 8 year old son didn't see owt except the screen.

Coked up pissheads around us amazing considering a family area

I was in 108 didn't have any coke and didn't notice any piss heads ,I did notice that while a few of us where stood up and trying desperately to get songs going that knowbody seemed to want to know and didn't feel the need bother joining in . And imagine standing up in a humongous game like that and trying to encourage the team to victory, what chance have the team got running round for 90 minutes if our fans can't even stand on there 2 feet for 90 minutes with out moaning, the world's full of snowflakes these days and football's the same

Difference is, my experience of our crowd in days gone by was we used to look after our own, I spent my first few years as a child season ticket holder at the back of the Kop with randoms shifting so I could still see stood on my seat (without being asked) and ensuring that as a young kid obsessed with the Blades I enjoyed myself and felt part of the wider crowd. These days, some would tell them they shouldn't be there, or call their parents a cunt/offer them out and care about nothing other than themselves/giving it the big I am. We shouldn't even need a "family area", but if theres one designated to try and ensure fewer problems, those deciding to be in there should be far more aware and considerate of others.

It's not everyone, as evidenced by our experience yesterday that Linz described above (OUTSIDE of the family area)... but it's more and more.

.I didn't specifically name people the ones around us I was referring to, fans could have had more consideration

I actually didn’t see any bother, couple of people that had been on the shandy too early, but nothing alarming. Did manage to stand for the whole game, but I was on the back row shaking hands with God.

i feel so sorry for the small kids who once again were left heartbroken by an inept piece of management that game should have been sewn up by half time but the 2nd half tactics from our manager were unbelievable although i think 34k blades fans knew what was coming as soon as the 2nd half whistle went

Well he didn’t give you your wish.
People around us no issues. However there was a person in the toilets after the game thumping the doors and wall. Guess his knuckles may hurt this morning

I've heard of people taking coke in the cubicles but one lad took some next to me at the urinal! Got it out and put it in his key right there while pissing.

That aside, I thought everyone was very friendly and well behaved in my block, no complaints whatsoever.

Spund where we sat at front of 220.
Apologies to the bloke sat behind me who dived into his arms when 2nd went in. Also apologies to bloke sat next to me who a kept hitting waving my scarf.

I'm a menace...and I was cold stone sober.

Flag waving looked class in bottom tier. Safe stand part looked good as well from above.

Yeh I get that and I can't deny there aren't inconsiderate nob heads at our big games because there are , I'm still very much in a mardy mood from yesterday so you'll have to excuse my grumpiness

It’s not about being a snowflake, some of us have health issues that mean it’s difficult to stand for 90 mins

Didn’t go yesterday due to recent redundancy but I wouldn’t have gone anyway. Wolves 2003 finished me off. I don’t agree with the Playoffs full stop, the League then becomes a cup and possibly penalties? Utter bollocks, a cash cow for the London area. As long as I’ve got a hole in my arse and talk out of it, United will always let you down at the big games. Not going yesterday probably saved me about £600. Better in my bank balance than in some chippy cockney twats bank.

That's fair enough and I fully get that but if your able to then I think standing for 90 minutes and trying to spur your team on in what is the richest game in football is a small sacrifice unless like you say health permits that , knowbody except for around 20 blades sat near me where bothered about trying to generate an atmosphere very dissapointing but I suppose that's modern football and part of the reason why care less and less for it as I get older

I agree with you about the atmosphere, very sanitised compared to back in the day

I was in 220 with my girl and the lads around us were ace. Had been on the booze but did not cause us any problems, in fact the absolute opposite. They were keen she enjoyed the laugh and even apologised for swearing. I said no worries boys mother says worse in the house😳

Saw both sides of Utd fans yesterday - almost all really good & just a couple of sour note.
We were sat with some smashing people in 119.
Group of young lads sat behind us kept grabbing balloons & handing ‘em to my 7-year old Grandson to bash into the air.
Old bloke in front really chatty as he was sat on his own for much of the game.
Decent atmosphere although not as loud as I thought it would be - some folk didn’t sing at all.

One of them was the gobbiest, potty-mouthed, Botox-lipped slapper 2 rows in front. I’ll call her Mrs Fishwife with tattoos all over the back of her hands.
The old bloke above was sat with his Mrs at first until she had the temerity to ask Mrs Fishwife’s kids to sit down. At this point, Mrs Fishwife opened her pumped up gob & let out a tirade of language that shocked me - basically daring the old lass to speak again & they were entitled to stand up if they wanted.
She was so horrible to the old girl that she never came back for the 2nd half but amazingly the old guy never said out to old gob-shite who game me the impression she’d never been to the Lane before & was on day trip.
Talk about self-entitled slapper. I wished I’d have said something but with my grandson in tow, didn’t want to get into a situation as he’s a tender little thing with stuff like that.

Also some pissed-up bell-end sat to the side who refused to sit down, randomly shouted Sheffield United every now & again, waved his arms around a bit to encourage those around him who he was pissing off to join in his ‘chant’. And seemed more bothered with how his hair looked.

518 for me no trouble at all good fans lots of families all enjoying the day result aside good atmosphere in a soulless stadium in my opinion. Best laugh was a lad at halftime smashed no idea where his seat was on the phone trying to find his mates fair play to the Sunderland fans pre game all in good spirits and wishing each other all the best.

I was in 518 too, I thought it was good, some not wanting to stand and sing which is fine but for the most part everyone around tried to get behind the team.

Even when they scored their first we had a rendition of "we are blades" to try and spur us on to avoid the inevitable.

When we scored i think i might have hugged most of you 😅

I was a few rows above the disabled section in 104. It was all very civilised and I had no complaints.
Likewise with Sunderland fans on the train down from York, underground back to Kings Cross and train back. I personally saw no bad behaviour
