He's 38 and showing loads of younger footballers the way in terms of fitness and commitment. There's a good few of ours who would do well to watch and learn.

That's how to make a name for yourself at the clubs he's been with.

Tbf wouldn’t change what’s gone before us.

Didzy cemented himself as a certified fan favourite in red and white, left on a high and has gone on to do things on his terms.

He’s played for his boy hood club, stayed local to his family, been a starter for each club, scored goals and you’d imagine bloody enjoyed his football.

Obviously you never know, but he could have stayed and perhaps wouldn’t have been starting consistently, perhaps the pace of championship might have been too much as he neared 40 etc etc

I think this chapter in his career is absolutely outstanding and genuinely surprised you don’t see more players take this route at the twilight of their careers.

As happy as I am to see McGoldrick doing well, I am staggered by the number of people who assert he’d been fine now in the championship who seem to forget how he was 4 seasons ago in his final season with us in the championship.

It’s a big gulf.

2 goals in 22 that season.
Brewster got 4 in 16... says it all
