It would be interesting to see how he could do in the Championship although he is a great thoughtful player, you do get extra space in League 1. He did a great job for us but unsure if he could manage 30 plus games in the Championship which is what we need.

Not only would he do a job for us, but there's a very good chance he'd be our second choice striker this season. I think he'd have contributed more than Ings, Campbell and Cannon have this season, and offered something very different at the same time.

Controversial.
Perhaps a management team of Didz, Billy and a ex defender I will leave that to others. Not now, but in the distant future perhaps.
Just a thought.

Based on what? Bassett managed 300+ games before getting the job with us. Warnock and wilder even more. Giving it to unproven managers might work if they are good enough but it's a high risk. Selles, weir etc show it's not a easy job.

I wouldn't even be against taking him back as 4th/5th choice striker next season and letting him mentor our youngsters.

Probably the most enjoyable player to watch in my 30+ years of going to the Lane. (Along with N'Diaye)

Get Selles and Monty in with Billy, Didzy and Morgan. We’ll be reyt.

I got shot down for suggesting McGoldrick could still play for us... I wonder if people still standby their opposition?
He's in a great run of form but had gone most of league one without scoring. People would be on his back and writing him off...

I wonder if he does the floating around the pitch stuff still?!

Seen him banging in a few worldies over past couple of seasons. Wonder if it's just because he has more space in pooree leagues or just got better at it.

I would absolutely have him back as the 4th choice striker next season (He would probably be 2nd choice at present!). Think he just wants to play though so doubt it would appeal to him anyway.

If any two Blades players ever deserved to have a successful end to their careers , it would have to be Billy Sharp and David McGoldrick and I’m absolutely delighted that both of them are achieving this .

With regard to the latter , his recent performances for Barnsley have been truly outstanding and filled with the kind of quality we all knew him for , coupled with a new found ability for finding the back of the net and amazing levels of energy and stamina for a player of his age .

Could he have done a better job for us this season than the likes of Ings or Cannon , either as a starter or impact sub?

Even to ask that question would be an insult to one of our best players in the last 30 years or so .

Trenton Wiggan?

It was one of those throwback things saying that Bournemouth had the most random squad ever in 2006-07.

Leon Best
David McGoldrick
Eddie Howe
James Hayter
Darren Anderton
Ryan Bertrand
Steve Claridge
Sam Vokes

No Wiggy though.
