With the money being talked about on the radio and in the papers it seems possible that Harry and Brooks might be sold for combined fees of £130m this summer!!!

You have no evidence for that assertion. It's all hypothetical

Well, we didn’t get promotion with him in our squad, In fact, in all the seasons he was with us, we never got promotion once. But as soon as he left, we got promoted. So it could be argued that he was holding us back...is that the sort of evidence you wanted? :p:cool::p:D

I was talking hypothetical because I don’t have access to parallel universes. What you said wasn’t hypothetical, it was just a illogical way of judging a players worth in comparison to another. But ok.

By all means, let Wilder know he is mistaken.

You seem to be ignoring the fact that it was Wilder who had the final say in selling Brooks and that Brooks wanted to leave, according to Wilder at least. You can’t pick and choose which of Wilder’s statements you want to believe.

He was the best player in a team that finished 14th in the premier league.Clearly we'd have won the league by a big points margin with him in the team.:D;);););)
Oh, and we'd be guaranteed no less than 14th next season.

So do you choose to believe both or neither?

This money would be crucial funds to our club, but of all the stars we've sold in recent years, I miss Brooks the most. What a refreshing talent, huge potential, humble lad and exactly what we need now - a successor to Duff.

Re surfaced.

Manchester United have been put on a transfer alert as Bournemouth reportedly plan to sell Callum Wilson, Josh King and David Brooks this summer,2020.

United have previously been linked with moves for attacking midfielder Brooks and strikers Wilson and King.

But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side could face competition from Tottenham if they decide to swoop for either one of the Cherries trio.

And Bournemouth are braced for a bidding war, as all three could all be sold this summer to raise cash for boss Eddie Howe to spend on new players, according to The Sun.

Wales international Brooks has been on United's radar for some time, having scored seven goals and added five assists during his breakthrough 2018/19 season.

Bournemouth are planning for the Championship. They're fooling nobody.

I fancy him to move to Man U. Be a better move than Spurs. And he won't be as expensive as he would've been before. He's also from near Manchester.

What % sell on do we have ? any idea.

Got to laugh at transfer rumours in the papers when we have no idea when next season is yet let alone any transfer window. The sheer brass neck to them.

where would he even play for Man U? He won’t be playing as a 10 because of Bruno. Maybe right wing but they already have a player of similar standard in James. I think they are more likely to go for a world class right winger (Sancho).

the move doesn’t make sense, however it is Man U so that means it will probably happen.

He's better than Dan James.

I'm not sure they'll get Sancho.

I think he'd compete with James on the right with Rashford competing with Martial (or Grealish?) for the left and a CF like Osimhen being signed.

Seems to me a bit of lazy journalism. Everyone would guess if they go down or do stay up Bournmouth need to freshen things up a bit.

But specially on Brooks I don’t see Man U or anyone paying big money for Brooks. His injury record isnt the greatest.Out for nearly 12 months will effect his value.

Personally I would love to see him back if he fits in with our budget etc. Think he would be an excellent long term replacement for Didzy. If he is indeed available I’m sure we will be at least asking the question. With us having a sell on as well financially will help the negotiations as long as we are the only one in.

If there is even a shred of truth in this, it speaks volumes as to where Man Ure are at right now that the linked players are Cal Wilson and Dave Brookes, not Harry Kane and Jaydon Sancho !!

Haha, great reporting...

Surely his breakthrough season was 2017/18 where he played 30 Championship games and broke into the Welsh National side.

How can he "breakthrough" AFTER he's already an International footballer?

His injury record this year is terrible but before that it didn’t seem that bad. Buying him now is obviously a risk. This season will arguably be his lowest price.

There is still a big risk as he won’t be cheap. A fully fit Brooks is 40m an injured one may be 20m.

Where would he play ? Considering we couldn't fit him in the side when we played with an attacking ACM and a second striker and he is predominantly a wide midfielder which we don't use

For me it would be the role he played in against SWFC. So Mcburnie up top and Brooks as a second striker.

Didzy drops deep a lot so for me it would be in the Didzy role but obviously a different type of player. But I think with CW/AK training we could turn him into a superstar.

I fear Brooks will be one of those players who is injury prone. His record so far suggests so, which will be a shame for the lad as he has the potential to be a top player. I hope I am wrong.

After he got that virus with us (glandular fever was it?) he seems to constantly pick up little injuries.
Now he seems to not be able to shake the serious one he got at Bournemouth. Real shame as i think he’s a really special player.

Agree catching glandular fever at a young age isn’t ideal but I wouldn’t really class that as a football injury that effects his future in football. This ankle injury is a serious one which may impact him. Signing him would no doubt be a gamble but the position we are now in how do we sign someone to get into our first team that isn’t 20million.

When Brooks was fully fit talk of moves for 40/50m. It’s a gamble do doubt but let’s see.
