Sorry guys to be a disagreer ....... but Scougal has evidenced over the last two seasons that he cannot compete effectively in this agricultural Division.

He should be nowhere near the first team squad IF we are really serious about promotion and not just "talking the talk" !!

You lost me with the use of the word 'evidence' as a verb, you disagreer, you!

We paid money for Scougall and McNulty. I suspect KM wants to recover some of that. If we give the impression we don't want them, that's unlikely to happen.

I think we'd be happy to more or less give the listed players away to get them off the wage bill.

Think his assessment of Scougall was spot on. When he came in and things looked in place for that unbeaten run under Clough, he was a huge part of us tearing teams apart on the counter. He had a lot of potential and looked like he could go on to be a Stephen Quinn type, but somewhere along the line he stopped harassing well, wasn't turning players or running with the ball, and with fitness troubles he's gone entirely in the wrong direction.

Got to say, 18 months of being poor is a long time for a young footballer, so my hopes aren't that high, but it would be huge is Wilder could get out of Scoogs what we once thought was there.

Let's judge Wilder this time next year.
Every manager at every club says the "right things" at the times when it suits them best.
Not being against him, but a few interviews, some comments from his old school drinking buddies and a couple of signings, the released crowd etc etc....

I ain't gonna be suckin' anyone off.
You certainly have a way with words mate:)

Adkins rightly talked about the need for "togetherness". But then he just seemed to expect it to magically happen - you might even say he implicitly demanded it from fans.

The difference, even in these very early days, is that Wilder's going out of his way to actively create togetherness.

Chris fully deserves all the credit he's received so far - he's earning it.

Deserves the credit if we are top by Christmas or at least when Barney declares he is getting a season ticket. :)

It's worse than Adkins Bingo on here sometimes. If I had to drink every time I saw the phrase "this agricultural division" I'd be under the table by now.

Scougall was an amazing player when he first signed. A joy to watch. Clough had him playing some great stuff, especially in the cup games (Forest, Charlton & Hull). If we can get him back to that standard, he should fit in.

You've hit the nail on the head here ...... "especially in the cup games" ....... higher league opposition, better quality referees, less rough stuff than in the League games.

Scougal cannot compete or be effective in this division ...... he's proven that. he shouldn't be anywhere near a promotion chasing squad in L1.
