Not good enough in my opinion also.

Wolves decided in the Championship after returning on loan from us he wasn’t good enough for their midfield. So converted him as a specialist sweeper and ball player in the middle of their back 3.
Isn’t a great defender or midfielder at this level, hoping we spend the money elsewhere.

If the financials made sense and the lad was.up.for it, then quite frankly we.would be stupid not to take him. Hes 30 and could be a great player for us for the next 4/5 years. Good character and a leader too. Not sure it will happen at all, but some.on here saying 'no'... Dear me. As I say, provided the financials make sense, it's do-able and it's not taking up to much of our resources from other positions needed then it really would be a no brainer.

I agre on the left pegger, but Jags was an asset off the pitch 1st year back with his prem without playing much

Without Billy I think Coadys international and prem experience is as much an asset but his ability across the back and talking shouldn’t be underestimated

No it's literally what the Prince has come out and said. It's not twisting anything more established names will likely be loans with fees spent on young players who are willing to potentially be a top championship players next year. No chance Coady will be willing to risk it with us in the championship


It's just common sense.

We used that strategy last time, with Ramsdale and Brewster, and we sank without trace in one of the most lacklustre and dismal seasons I can ever remember.

Please let's not try this again.

I agree that he's premier league quality but would you realistically replace Anel or Egan?

Would he really want to come to be backup? And should we be paying a fee (albeit minimal) for a 30 year old to be backup.

Good signing but not sure justifies the purchase tbh.

We loaned him from Liverpool before he then signed for Huddersfield. Great knowledge there pal

Sometimes people need to give their head a shake. It is boarding on pigesque levels of deloudamol, 'we are massive and can pick and choose players who are falling over themselves to sign for us'. We are going to be fighting relegation from the start, realistically who is going to sign for us based on wages and transfer fee? So many writing off Luton as finishing bottom, how many points did we take off them? I'm not saying Coady is the answer or that we should buy him but saying an England International with more prem experience than anyone in our squad isn't good enough for us is frankly Wednesdayesque twattery
