There's some great stuff on tonight, watch Sander Berge break double figures in touches.

I’ve been closely watching him tonight.

Kompany is playing him as defensive midfielder just in front of the back 4.
Not touched the ball that much, plenty of jogging and shadow marking
Neat and tidy with his passing, not made any mistakes but he’s so underwhelming.

Similar to long spells when he played for us.
Think he’s much better making forward runs and being more dynamic
but when he’s in defensive midfield ares always looks like he’s playing it safe and going through the motions.

If I remember right he had the best stats for us last season, but it does make you wonder if that's because he barely gets involved for 50% of the game, like today.

Totally agree on the attacking front, I was begging him to shoot last season. He's such a big unit, he could be banging them in. Exactly what Rodri can do at times.

Same, i can’t judge too much as it’s against city but i’ve not rated burnley. I thought they would be much sharper/composed in possession. No better than us IMO. Sander is the most composed on the ball for them and not done much. Could be a real sideways move for him.

hard to judge playing city yes he was neat and tidy on the ball but it was his timid defending that gifted citys 3rd goal he just doesnt influence games enough to warrant the fees hes commanded i definetly think weve got a better player in hamer

This guy had one very good season and played once for England but the goals scored afterwards was woeful. Suppose that's the gamble you have to take for teams in our position.

As above. The point (with plenty of merit) is that Michael Ricketts was shit hot for a season or so, but was utter dogshit. Same could happen with Akpom.

Thanks. I couldn’t understand the link between that Wiki page and Akpom

Reason I think akpom could be a huge asset for us is his involvement in boris could ter attacks last season with a curate short passes and equally incisive bursts of pace into space in the final third his finishing is the icing on the cake but he would still be a real pivot point in a team who wont see as much of the ball

Whilst I'm not sold on him as much as some, I think this is a good point and may well be what Hecky sees in him based on his comments about us counter attacking more this season.

Chuba travelled with the squad to Cov, then left has Mboro has received “bids”

Could it be that we’ve matched Lens bid and it’s now down to the player.

Didn't realise he'd had involvement in Boris, it's a hard no from me

Anyone know why Lens FC get crowds equivalent to the town's population and have a ground that's even bigger ?
Can't seem to find an explanation of this on t'interweb
