I genuinely think it was nothing more than use in real emergency, say 2 or 3 down with 15 mins left, throw on and see

In a way though you could argue the opposite. 2 or 3 down then why risk bringing him on if he's not fully fit, but 1 - 0 down with five to go could maybe have been worth it. Strange in my view.

once again have to agree with you booker just wonder if it might have been a bit of a smokescreen by boro putting him on the bench as you say surely they would have put him on if he was fit enough for the bench i think him coming to united might still be on

could well be still think its about 50/50 that we get him although we will certainly have to offer him more than the reported 18k a week salary

Personally I wokld prefer not. He’s 28 had one good season, so I would say the re-sale value on him is not worth the risk.

We need players up to around 22/24 - look at championship teams players of the year like we used to when wilder came in.
