Wouldnt surprise me if they face PSR charges soon

I've no idea whether they're covered off on all that stuff through their big sponsors, but I suspect they've only got two seasons to get up to the PL before it bites.

I won't be shocked if they manage it though.

Said it in other threads but their CEO has stated that they will generate revenue similar to the clubs with parachute payments through their existing and new revenues streams. That's on an ongoing basis so even if they don't go up they will be generating that revenue again next season....unlike us if we dont go up

It's a diffenrt world nowadays and one that is starting to leave us behind as clubs like Wrexham and Brum mine overseas revenue opportunities thst we dont have

We're still really waiting to see what our new owners have to offer.

Aside from a couple of PR releases that could have been written by ChatGPT, there's been very little communication.

Whilst it doesn't feel like we're in a crisis (like the Prince's end-days), it doesn't feel like we've progressed a great deal.
Will reserve judgement until the end of the window, but there's not been much cause for enthusiasm.

It’ll be interesting to see how sustainable that will be long term, I’ve not bothered watching the 4th season of the Wrexham documentary as the 3rd became boring and they’d pretty much run out of new ideas for episodes.

I don’t know how much American interest there will be in Wrexham long term when they reach their peak. 2 or 3 seasons in the Championship and I can see the interest dropping.

So while Brum make another good addition with someone we should have looked at- we do fuck all. Piss poor.

Stability, wages paid on time, ground and training facilities improved and a calm environment. Apart from that nothing 🤔

And we'll wait, and wait, and wait.... But don't panic they say, "t'window dunt close fer another 3 weeks." Then they'll say, "See who we bring in in January. Nobody buys anyone of any worth in the summer.." Must go. Got some bottom sheets to put in the wash.

They will get to the Premier league in the next couple of seasons.

Brum will be a shoe in for promotion, if they are top 6 in January expect them to go for Vini Jr and bringing back Jude the rate they are going
Whilst I admit they're trying to buy promotion, there are no guarantees or shoe-ins.

They've got a rookie manager who could be completely out of his depth (when he doesn't have the best squad in L1). The new players might not gel. Their squad isn't actually amazing, as plenty seem to be making out.

Most of all I want them to not succeed because I never like people buying success. I like good football teams that were built organically.

Am I right in recalling Akpom was an attacking midfielder with Archer up front?

If so where would we fit him in?

Yes I’d take the 12-15 goals a season if it worked but either Hamer or COH would have to be dropped

Yes he played AM or behind the striker during his peak.

I guess we'd play him there 😄 But you're right that it's not an important position for us, at the time of writing

This. Literally this. Folk are cumming in their pants over this mythical squad. Yet they’re replacing league one quality players, with championship quality players. Folk are going off like they’re signing prime R9 and Kaka.

Last time Akpom played in this division he was the best player in this division.

Akpom is clearly a good signing for any team in this league, that can’t be argued surely? Other than that, fuck Brum, Rectum, pigs and any other twat in this league.

No way they finish above Southampton and Ipswich and if Leicester finish in play offs they will win them so as well as I can see brummie doing they won't go up this season

Absolutely would’ve taken him after that season he had when we were linked with signing both Akpom & Archer but he does seem to have dropped off again, and is back to bouncing around clubs.

At least Wrexham are doing decent signings but not being silly.

Kieffer Moore, Conor Coady, Lewis O'Brien and Josh Windass.

All good signings for Championship without just buying promotion

I’m not seeing anything from Wrexham so far this window that suggests they’ll be challenging for promotion any time soon.

Not sure if most of you heard about our new transfer policy. Every day I see we should have gone for Rothwell,
Akpom etc. we won’t be spending money on anyone we don’t consider to have potential for a huge sell on. I would be amazed if we bought anyone out of that profile even buying or with a heavy loan

Picked up Danny Ward as well. Also Thompson from Bolton, Ryan Hardie and a French left back.
