Quite possibly the bitterest thing I've ever read. Even manages to point out that the hogs caught us up in 2012 from 10 points behind..

Ken Anderson addresses the club's supporters as taken from his notes in Tuesday's Bristol Rovers programme
Firstly, I would also like to extend a warm welcome to the family of Gary Speed who will be attending our game against Bristol Rovers tomorrow night as our special guests.

They are raising awareness of the Gary Speed Trust which was established following his passing in November 2011 and continues the promotion of Gary’s work in regards to supporting numerous sports teams, schools and hospitals.

Focusing back on matters on the field, I had a strange feeling about the Sheffield United game all last week, particularly when they asked us to return half of our allocated tickets.

We made our disappointment known to them in no uncertain way, but they had no intention of changing their minds.

As you can imagine, I was even angrier when I saw the area that we should have had behind the goal half empty on Saturday. It is fairly obvious now that they didn't want too many of our supporters there cheering us on.

As the week went on, it was becoming more likely that we were going to be without several key players, either through suspension, injury or illness and then, at the very last minute, we were deprived of Gary Madine by illness as well which meant a late change to our game plan.

Obviously, it wasn't one of our better performances and whilst I don't like making excuses, I think that up until the penalty – which was a quite clearly a dive – we were still in the game.

Likewise, I am not sure how John Fleck did not receive his marching orders when he poleaxed Tom Thorpe which effectively ended his game a short time after.

In regards their first goal, it ultimately came from us giving the ball away and a consequent rare slip by Mark Beevers and whilst I think it was a well taken chance by Billy Sharp, how many times have we seen balls bounce out when they hit the post?

Although we lost out to Sheffield United, despite fielding an under strength team due to illness, suspensions and injuries, it’s worth reminding ourselves that we had beaten them twice already this season, so in terms of the league points gained against one another honours are even.

As to who will be promoted, we shall wait until the end of the season, but I seem to recall that several seasons ago they were in a similar situation at the top of the league with a seemingly comfortable gap but ultimately lost out to bitter rivals Sheffield Wednesday.

As I keep saying, there will be lots of twists and turns before the end of the season.

That said, we have to put the defeat behind us and move on to this week when we have two games at home where if we manage to take maximum points, it will put us right back amongst those pushing for the automatic promotion spots.

Hopefully, we will have a fully fit squad available for both of these matches and can look to make our mark in front of our home crowd once again.

With that in mind, there is now a special Final Five ticket offer available to buy which will start from our game against AFC Wimbledon onwards and I encourage all of you to get involved as we look to turn our home into a cauldron of vociferous noise during the final months of the season.

It would also be fantastic to see a wall of white across the terraces at Macron Stadium, with both home and away shirts currently available for just £19.99 in Bolton Central.

I am also pleased to confirm that we are now holding regular meetings with the Supporters’ Trust and I look forward to meeting with them again this week.

Hopefully, we will find a way where they can help fund the club’s academy which will be a great benefit to everyone who is involved up at Lostock.

Elsewhere across the club, the hotel are set to hold a number of notable events such as an 80s Party Night and various offers on dinners for Easter and Mother’s Day, details of which can be found on the club's social channels.

Finally, it has been great to see a number of our players out and about across the local community in recent weeks supporting our Community Trust’s various projects.

We are proud of our family-orientated mentality at this football club and the importance of strengthening our relationships with the town as a whole cannot be underestimated.

As usual, let’s be loud, let’s be proud and let’s get behind the team.

Kind regards

Ken

Pathetic beyond belief!

What he fails to mention is that the 2 times they have already beaten us this season our team wasnt anything like a full strength side for various reasons so he can hardly start moaning about their strength.

Oh and its about time someone that side of the pennines admits Madine bottled it plain and simple.

Theres a photo doing the rounds of him walking into the ground and he looks absolutely fine.

Yes Ken, and in both those games we fielded a more weakened side than the one you were able to field on Saturday. And unlike you, we weren't inferior on either occasion.

I don't really understand the moaning about suspensions either. Spearing's got 10 bookings, it's not like he's been sent off for a questionable red card.

You'd think he'd be more worried about the losses Bolton are making monthly rather than naughty Sheffield United recalling tickets Bolton wouldn't pay for and Gary Madine having a snotty nose.

Strikes me as a feeble attempt at grasping at straws.

This emphasis on the past is laughable, surely it's what happened on Saturday that matters? And as for mentioning Fleck, I guess no Bolton player has ever gotten away with a foul before? Stupid man trying to salvage something from a display where his team lost convincingly. Give it a rest pal and look at the table, wouldn't you prefer to change places with us? Of course you would, just ain't going to happen though, get used to it you whingeing peanut! UTB

Weakened team due to suspensions, injuries and Gareth Ainsworth syndrome.

If only our defender blocked a crucial pass, if only they didn't dive, if only we had left the lower tier three quarters empty, if only if only if only.

Some teenage garbage here from a man who is meant to be in their top seat, Jesus wept.

Nothing to do with squad building, percentages within a game of football, not scoring because you didn't take chances and then chirping on about a result from 6 months ago which cost many United fans £30+.

I'd be very worried about this fella being chairman if I was a Bolton fan.

I'm just relieved that the points tally the pigs amassed in their last twelve games 5 years ago has absolutely zero fucking significance on events of this season.

The fact he feels the need to have to come out and say anything just because they lost the game hardly implies him to be a man of strong character with backbone.

He also reels off a lot of excuses for a man who claims to dislike making excuses, and the mention of the pigs is the lamest attempt at mind games since Del Boy challenged Derren Brown to a round of 'Which hand is it in?'.

Madine, Parky and now this prick. A triple-tiered treat of Lancastrain shithousery.

Pipe down and piss off, Kenneth.

For some reason we are not getting the full recognition we deserve , both individually ( wilder / knill ) and collectively the squad .

Jealousy , insecurity , no idea , but it can only help us with this negative shite . Wilder turns this into our positive advantage .

Chairman , managers , players , fans of opposing sides are being negative against us . Why , because they are paving the excuses for failure . Bolton , Scunny are on the slide .

From our point of view , fuck em all , we will do our talking on the pinch .

Tossers.

Childish beyond belief. Billy hit the shot at the perfect point whereby it would hit the post and go in. It was perfection from a striker in form.

The rest of it I think shows up his disappointment in losing but is trying to deflect it. I'd hazard a guess that our performance has possibly got him rattled at how far superior we are and quite possibly he realise there is only 1 space up for grabs. He needs to keep the interest amongst their fans and keep them paying the bills / debts.

The more people like this look and blame luck and "he should have been sent off" the more confidence I take in our performance. The more sensible of the Botlon posters e.g the young guys blog, would suggest we were better on the day and in no way was it down to luck.

All in all the negative comments from the last 2 teams t visit BDTBL would suggest we have them rattled. I'm taking the above as compliment.

That's embarrassing.

We are a far better side than Bolton.

He doesn't seem to mention that his team only managed ONE shot on target all match. A 30 yard daisy cutter that even I could have easily saved.

Bolton really lacked creativity and quality. Their main tactic (which to be fair they were good at) was to invite fouls in the final third. Go down to win a free kick and try to score from a set piece. They reminded me of Wednesday under Smegson.

That's Bolton sorted now along with Coventry on their journey towards administration. Anyone else before season's end? Millwall perhaps? That would be nice.

24 carat cunt.

If you couldn't field a good enough eleven then that's a failing of your squad. There's no bonus points awarded at the end of the season for the least reserves used.

And maybe if you were taking care of Bolton's finances instead of worrying about our ticket sales, you could've signed some better back up.

Or, better put

That is really bad.

I am now going to chop off my thumb and three fingers so that I can easily count the number of shots they had on target. And I'm from Sheffield not Rotherham (or Bolton).
