So 4 games down -14 to go in my 18 game run-in - and just 1 point behind target on both playoff pathways - they don’t diverge until the QPR game.
3 points today from a dominant fluid performance against Pompey(!) - only joking. We have deserved to win a lot more than that in games that we have lost, so maybe it was about time we got our own daylight robbery. My main take from the game is that we simply don’t function without Cal O’Hare and that we dare not have Soumare on the pitch again if we don’t want to see another red. Seriki struggled against Ali – did we really choose Chong over him from Luton? I thought Bamford looked a little off it as well.
I always particularly enjoy an assist and a goal from the subs though!
Table 1 shows my 2 pathways, for the last 18 games, which would achieve either a possible playoff place with 71 points or a probable playoff place, with 77 points.
The Table shows that the red numbers are still just 1 point behind target, and the dream isn’t dead yet!
Table 1:

Graph 1 shows the whole season visually, and you can see the pathways through the red line. The thin red line is still covering the dashes – let’s see it get above them now!
Graph 1:

Finally the colour annotated League Table - 15th and 6 points behind 6th! Keep winning at home and the job's half done!! I don't want to see red again though!
Exactly half of our points have come from 7 games against the bottom 4!
League Table:

So Steel City Derby next – I don’t like the talk of relegating them, as it just winds up the value of the game for them in a season when they have nothing to play for.
Anyway, whisper it quietly, but this season still has a lot of life in it for us.
