Bolton's Chairman...

I thought that the lower tier would be busier, then again, better to be a few of ours in the lower tier than a few of them.
I am sure if the Bolton Chairman had said,

We will send you a Cheque for all of the Upper and Lower Seats, SUFC would have agreed

But he wanted to sell 10 seats and then send the rest of the tickets back unpaid for ...........

Put up or shut up ..... twat

That's embarrassing.

We are a far better side than Bolton.

He doesn't seem to mention that his team only managed ONE shot on target all match. A 30 yard daisy cutter that even I could have easily saved.

Bolton really lacked creativity and quality. Their main tactic (which to be fair they were good at) was to invite fouls in the final third. Go down to win a free kick and try to score from a set piece. They reminded me of Wednesday under Smegson.
You do him a great injustice. He was too polite to refer to Le Fondre's magnificent shot from 45 yards after the ref gave them a... Oh, perhaps not.;)

A very stressed out bloke looking to win back some simple minds from the Bolton faithful only on the worst way possible.

Even Bolton fans must look at that and cringe. Wilder said it best in his post match interview "just give us some credit, we played well, they were beaten by the better team, just give us some credit" - a sentiment also offered by the more sensible Bolton fans.

This is so poor from their chairman - and manager.

If any Bolton fan fall for that nonsense then they deserve each other. A desperate man clutching at straws.

The under strength team thing makes them look ridiculous when you consider the sides we have put out against them in the 2 games before this one.

Calm down people, he's trying to sell the dream to encourage sales of his last 5 match multi ticket.

He can hardly say "we were crap but come and get your last 5 match package now just in case we get a bit better" can he?

This is so poor from their chairman - and manager.

Yup and they obviously went back to clogland on a special deluded bus.

I thought they were poor and after that display I genuinely can't see them anywhere near the automatic spots. In the play-offs they will face other teams in better form (Millwall? Bradford?) and the weight of that debt should be bearing down on them nicely.

A few years of peniless servitude in the Fourth Divsion would do them the world of good, and maybe help them find a sense of reality.

Twats, the lot of them.

Desperate words from a desperate man. He knows he is close to presiding over the extinction of one of English football's oldest institutions (despite the recent needle, I'm sure we all recognise a grand old club when we see one, albeit in horrible new plastic surroundings). Sad and pathetic in equal measure.

I thought that the lower tier would be busier, then again, better to be a few of ours in the lower tier than a few of them.

The bottom tier was officially sold out.
The last ticket was sold about 12 noon on Saturday.

It seems the SY Police were worried about having too many rival fans outside on Bramall Lane so they only allowed us to sell 1,000 seats and they all were sold.

Quite possibly the bitterest thing I've ever read. Even manages to point out that the hogs caught us up in 2012 from 10 points behind..

Ken Anderson addresses the club's supporters as taken from his notes in Tuesday's Bristol Rovers programme
Firstly, I would also like to extend a warm welcome to the family of Gary Speed who will be attending our game against Bristol Rovers tomorrow night as our special guests.

They are raising awareness of the Gary Speed Trust which was established following his passing in November 2011 and continues the promotion of Gary’s work in regards to supporting numerous sports teams, schools and hospitals.

Focusing back on matters on the field, I had a strange feeling about the Sheffield United game all last week, particularly when they asked us to return half of our allocated tickets.

We made our disappointment known to them in no uncertain way, but they had no intention of changing their minds.

As you can imagine, I was even angrier when I saw the area that we should have had behind the goal half empty on Saturday. It is fairly obvious now that they didn't want too many of our supporters there cheering us on.

As the week went on, it was becoming more likely that we were going to be without several key players, either through suspension, injury or illness and then, at the very last minute, we were deprived of Gary Madine by illness as well which meant a late change to our game plan.

Obviously, it wasn't one of our better performances and whilst I don't like making excuses, I think that up until the penalty – which was a quite clearly a dive – we were still in the game.

Likewise, I am not sure how John Fleck did not receive his marching orders when he poleaxed Tom Thorpe which effectively ended his game a short time after.

In regards their first goal, it ultimately came from us giving the ball away and a consequent rare slip by Mark Beevers and whilst I think it was a well taken chance by Billy Sharp, how many times have we seen balls bounce out when they hit the post?

Although we lost out to Sheffield United, despite fielding an under strength team due to illness, suspensions and injuries, it’s worth reminding ourselves that we had beaten them twice already this season, so in terms of the league points gained against one another honours are even.

As to who will be promoted, we shall wait until the end of the season, but I seem to recall that several seasons ago they were in a similar situation at the top of the league with a seemingly comfortable gap but ultimately lost out to bitter rivals Sheffield Wednesday.

As I keep saying, there will be lots of twists and turns before the end of the season.

That said, we have to put the defeat behind us and move on to this week when we have two games at home where if we manage to take maximum points, it will put us right back amongst those pushing for the automatic promotion spots.

Hopefully, we will have a fully fit squad available for both of these matches and can look to make our mark in front of our home crowd once again.

With that in mind, there is now a special Final Five ticket offer available to buy which will start from our game against AFC Wimbledon onwards and I encourage all of you to get involved as we look to turn our home into a cauldron of vociferous noise during the final months of the season.

It would also be fantastic to see a wall of white across the terraces at Macron Stadium, with both home and away shirts currently available for just £19.99 in Bolton Central.

I am also pleased to confirm that we are now holding regular meetings with the Supporters’ Trust and I look forward to meeting with them again this week.

Hopefully, we will find a way where they can help fund the club’s academy which will be a great benefit to everyone who is involved up at Lostock.

Elsewhere across the club, the hotel are set to hold a number of notable events such as an 80s Party Night and various offers on dinners for Easter and Mother’s Day, details of which can be found on the club's social channels.

Finally, it has been great to see a number of our players out and about across the local community in recent weeks supporting our Community Trust’s various projects.

We are proud of our family-orientated mentality at this football club and the importance of strengthening our relationships with the town as a whole cannot be underestimated.

As usual, let’s be loud, let’s be proud and let’s get behind the team.

Kind regards

Ken

Wow, now I've read that I don't feel so good about our win. Clearly Bolton deserved the 3 points and we were just lucky. I had thought that Bolton were the cheating scum, having spent more than £100m than they actually had, but I see now I was wrong. Did he leave an address where I could write to apologise.

Very poor and shows a lack of class and respect, no doubt trying to keeping brainwashing the easily convinced and selling tickets, he shouldn't be commenting on the game, that's not his job.

I think both Fleetwood and Bristol Rovers are better by a long way, they were just a team wanting to foul and con the ref

Spikey.....McGuinness......Kay.........move over, your time is done.

He can hardly say "we were crap but come and get your last 5 match package now just in case we get a bit better" can he?

No but he didn't have to go on about their last defeat. Could've just led with the whole two games in hand, right up in the mix routine, opened with a joke maybe. Whining about how we didn't want away fans whilst shamelessly plugging a new ticket offer is an irony lost upon him.

Ha ha ha ha.

What a load of tosh, just parroting the same excuses as his manager.

Chairman should never comment on on field matters as it just makes them look very very stupid.

The only thing the tosser hasn't said is that they will be going round with plastic collection buckets at the next home game. The bloke is obviously desperate to pull in every penny he can, wonder if their players will get paid this month?

The statement from the Bolton's chairman is bizarre on so many fronts.

Because they've beaten us twice to our once honours are even. I thought the league was decided over a 46 game season not down to individual results. If this was the case then we'd now be sat underneath Walsall and Fleetwood.

He's just handed Chris Wilder next Saturday's pre match team talk. To refer to our 2012 collapse to our neighbors should give our management team and players the very boost to go on and finish the job.

They are a club in financial turmoil and he's used his notes criticizing us, building up a rapport with the fans to try and flog a few Bolton shirts. Really lacks class and I hope the Bolton fans see through this.

Finally I hope all goes well for Gary Speed's family.

As a matter of interest, are there any of their players that would improve our squad?
