Take care Roygbiv and hope your mum's ok.Hoping to record tomorrow but my mum's been taken into hospital today so depends on how she gets on overnight![]()
Not sure what we'd have said anyway apart from "we played crap and still haven't signed anyone"!
If ever there was a week where a free pass was a fair shout, it’s probably this one!Apologies to anyone waiting but we're going to give the pod a miss this week, I'm pretty pushed for time with work / family stuff as well as Roy's own situation. Not sure what we'd have said anyway apart from "we played crap and still haven't signed anyone"! Will definitely have an episode next week though, win lose or draw.
All the best Roy, hope your mum is doing ok.I was tempted to record from the hospital but for one there's no signal and for two the nurses keep coming doing doing their job which would ruin my flow
Tufty club have stepped up to the plateFucks sake might have to Jimmy Ramble now

At what minute do they start talking about football? I have no time for the lengthy preamble at the moment.Listened last night. Once you get past the complaining about BT and talking about comedy phones, it's really good analysis

What’s the XPod?Most succinct pod you've ever done.
While I agree with your basic analytical thrust, it's a little short on detailed analysis. Having said that, with the current 'attention span of a goldfish' generation, maybe it's the way forward.

Yeah progress has definitely been the catch word on hereFirst and foremost, hope your Mum is ok Roygbiv
I've been looking round the forum and I swear the whole world has gone stark raving bonkers.
Here we are, bottom of the table following two abject performances apart from 20 minutes against the mighty Bristol City that were apparently 'scintillating'. Well we lost that game 4-1.... 4-1 to a side that we dicked 6-0 on aggregate less than 3 months ago and yet a lot of our fanbase and, sadly, my Bladespod brethren, think this is 'progress'. Seriously everyone, WTF? In what world is this progress? I'll give you two better words, short-sighted and naive.
I'm starting to think these owners replaced Wilder because they realised he wouldn't have put up with the complete lack of planning, on a scale not seen, well since Hecky was thrown under a bus prior to our most embarrassing season in anyone's memory. I think they've set up Selles as a patsy who will go down in Blades history as another jonny foreigner that couldn't cut the mustard. It looks like it's dawned on him the magnitude of the job he's now expected to do with his hands tied behind his back.
Letting Anel go may not have rippled the Bladespod water, but for me that was the last straw. Absolutely no planning for an event that was waiting to happen. He might not have been the best CB to wear a Blades shirt but he was the best CB we had and it will cost us probably the amount we sold him for to replace him. Does no one get it? If you let a player run down his contract to one year, they go for a reduced price and it will cost as much if not more to replace like for like let alone improve. If we'd offered Anel a new contract in good time on improved terms, we don't pay a exorbitant transfer fee plus wages to replace him. He might not have looked a Premer League player in the worst Premier League team of all time (on goals conceded), but he was certainly one of the best Championship CB's around. Feyenoord have bought him to play in Europe, that tells you all you need to know.
Hey, but fear not we're signing 35 year old Ben Mee on a free, there's progress for you right there in microcosm.
The deluded among you are going to start throwing 2018-19 or even 2016-17 at me, well big difference, no Wilder to make it alright.
If you've had a look round the forum I recommend another look at this very thread #1,701 sums it up perfectly.First and foremost, hope your Mum is ok Roygbiv

They've forgotten they have an audience again.Once you get past the BT stuff, complaining about SS queues, and saying hello to our uncles, that's pretty much the end of it.
Funny that our podcasting community is mirroring the club....They've forgotten they have an audience again.
YesHope all is well with you and family Roygbiv. Can I ask for your advice on something? Am I mental for considering going to see Threads at the Showroom after the match on Saturday?

If current form is anything to go by, watching the city be decimated by a nuclear blast and its inhabitants succumb one by one to radiation sickness will cheer you up after watching the match.Hope all is well with you and family Roygbiv.
