You have the advantage over other fans. You get the whole podcast to explain and justify your opinions on current topics. Other fans on here mostly confine themselves to reactionary anger, in one ot two sentences. A bit unfair on them really?

Roy’s comments on Brewster were especially interesting, and I did get a similar feeling when combining others opinions on the forum. This is especially useful to me as a long term exile, by choice. Anywhere interesting is at least 3 days ride away with a good horse, and the bus service is dangerous/crap/non existent for me.

Thanks for the regular updates, and creating thoughtful and detailed opinions in crystalised form, for those who find home or always games hard to get to.

If you get chance, let us know how Louis Marsh is doing. I had him down for the role that Brewster seems to be filling now!

That's a high bar to clear given what Kyle Walker has achieved in his career

Marsh is a proper football player. A useful and versatile forward or attacking midfielder. While his contribution so far has been limited to the EFL Cup games, he has been on the bench for first team duties.
He also helps fill out positions in first team training. His call up for England was fully justified.
I see him filling the Duffy role when required, but he lacks the bulk and experience of a Didzy in a similar role.
A quality player who finds only limited opportunity to do an Arblaster.?

I feel very similar to you both, Friday feels kind of meaningless right now.
Maybe that will change at kick off but it's definitely given that perspective.

Marsh is definitely more like Didsy than Maddison, but I can see where you're coming from. Our inability to bring in another striker is holding him back. It's great that he's with the first team but his chances are limited, and while he's with the first team he's not playing development matches. If we'd have brought in another striker then I've no doubt he'd have gone out on loan, and will do come January.

Marsh has got a great football brain and links up well with others. He also has what our other strikers lack, and that's a killer instinct. When he sees an opportunity he takes it. He will shoot early instead of taking an extra touch or two. He's a potentially great player in the making, but he needs to beef up as his lack of physicality could hamper him.

Sorry no pod this week. We were due to record today but my mum was taken into hospital overnight so I've been there all night and am heading back up this afternoon . Hopefully normal service is resumed next week.
