Hi All,
Feel a bit mercenary with my first post n all,but I have in my posession a collection of autographs from the blades last FA cup winning season in 1924/25.
I'll not bother putting all the names up unless there is interest, they are on one side of a piece of paper, and on the other is signatures of Aston Villa, who we played in september 1924 at BDBL,which is when ,I guess these signings were obtained.
The documents condition is average, but it is 90 years old,and I thought someone might like to own it,dont know what its worth, but offers are invited.
I also have autographs of the other team in Sheffield from the same season but not in such good nick, but still very legible.

Anyone interested please post with contact details and I'll get in touch...and yes I am a Blade and not a dealer and have been since 1968,just getting the hang of these computer thingies !

surely he must mean that massive club from south Barnsley.......stocksbridge park steels

Hello Joey,

I will offer you £10.

For this, I will then donate the autographs to the Blades museum at the Lane.

This is where something like this really belongs, to be shown off to all Sheffield United fans, in their true context and next to other memorabilia of the age, and most probably next to the photo's and kit of the great men that actually penned the autographs in the first instance.

This will also ensure that they are safeguarded for posterity and thus won't damaged, or lost in the future.

Whatever their eventual fate, good luck with your sale. I do sincerely hope that they eventually find their way to the Lane though. Why don't you consider donating them to the SUFC museum yourself? Or maybe even loan them to the museum on a long-term basis?

Regards,

Steve.

In all seriousness JOEYDEE

It would be good to know that they have been verified for authenticity, perhaps this is something that the SUFC hall of fame could help you with.

I agree with MightyBlades they should be in the hall of fame.

Not surprised by the reaction but to be fair to Joey, I reckon you should ask the club to make you an offer. It's not a charity. Good luck man.

Thanks Foxy,will do that..TonyAgana,you may have a point !!
A pair of United v Wigan cup final tickets would do the trick !
