Each and everyone of those travelling fans should get a complete refund after that debacle.
I doth my cap to each and every one of you.
Half way home. What a shambles. Yeovil were shite we were shiter. No-one gave a damn - it was an absolute disgrace. Gettign fed up oif turning up when the team don't.

No, sets a massive precident, so every time they put in a bad performance they have to refund people?

I would change bad to dire / unacceptable , and this season , we would all be in pocket .:D

Lets hope there is method in the madness , by Clough and the players , and a one off . in the overall scheme of things for promotion.

UTB.

Not been nor listened on radio tonight .. Just picking up on vibe it's been dire

Anyone know what the main issues have been ?? Genuinely interested if any positives ?
No positives except it didn't rain. We were all absolute shite. No imagination; no midfield control; kick and rush for the 20 minutes we had the ball. No slowing down the tempo - in fact not a fucking clue.

Surprised by level of reaction to this on Twitter and the like. We've known pretty much since week 2 that we are inconsistent - at our best can match good Premier League teams, at our worst would struggle against a good Conference side. Let's just be thankful we can still fluke our way up. Though for hardy souls who made the trip, you are of course allowed to speak with a great degree more authority on the wankness of the performance :) But your team delivering a stonking slice of football turd is very much within the realms of possibility when you buy a ticket for a United match.

I don't want a refund I want someone to be honest. I have never heard a manager blame everyone bar himself for everything that has gone wrong more than our Mr Clough. Luckily for me I have a job to do tomorrow in Southampton so at least I don't have the full round trip like some do. Spineless, clueless and just not up for it at all. So who is to blame for that then ? Scougall and Holt in the same team. Coutts out wide again....he was great at Barnsley with Basham along side him. Now he gets pelters for being out of position. Mr Clough you put him there. He is becoming the new boo boys favourite which personally I think is wrong. Alcock is just all over the place and Done is simply no good put wide for me, but what do I know. Only missed 3 all season but clearly I must be like many others completely blind. I have a feeling we will go up somehow which may paper a few cracks. To be honest I don't care, we just need to get out of this division. I never boo them to be honest but Mr Clough your time is up if we don't go up simple as that I'm afraid. 6 games left potentially. Time to deliver or time to go.

OK But give him the backing in the next six games !
It seems that every time we don't win it's 'Clough Out'
For everyone out there Sheffield United do not have a God given right to win every game - when we play there are 11 players out there trying to stop us winning !
It's about time some of you out there took this message on board and stop acting like those from S6 !

I didn't say he won't get my backing. It's a simple message. We have been poor , it's his team and this league is the worst it has been since we have been in it. His job is get us out of it. Simple. Fail and go. Achieve and stay to see what the future holds. All I want is a team capable of putting in a shift. If you were there tonight and can tell me that HIS team played with any freedom, desire and passion then I must have been at the wrong ground. I would even go so far as to say that if he came out and said HE got it wrong occasionally then I might get it. I will be waiting a long time for that I think. So we all have to put up with blind arrogance then do we?

I have not been but the worrying thing for me is our inability to keep a clean sheet. Yeovil are not the lowest scorers in the League but neither are they "prolific". We always seem to give teams at least one goal.

Fucking hell people. Sack Clough? Then what? Do you think our miraculous club, with it's extended stay in Div 3 and record of fuck ups and piss poor investment has any kudos to attract any manger of any credibility and ability? Clough - with all his faults - is about as good as it is going to get for us. Which other manager, currently kicking his heels and busy doing nothing is conveniently available to parachute in and turn shit into manna from this bunch of bozos? And don't say 'Warnock' FFS.As much as I love him, he'd be hard pushed to work with McCabe again and would want squillions ploughed into the squad, squillions which we clearly don't have given the Game Changing Investment lies we have been spun regarding the Prince. And, Clough and his boys would want paying off handsomely. Think Weir and then some more on top. So sacking Clough is out of the question, isn't it?

And besides, whilst the fans are miserably trudging home from yet another humiliation at the hands of a team with several arse wipe marks on them courtesy of many teams in this division this season, the board are fucking laughing their cocks off at us as we blame the players for playing like cunts (even though many of them are playing well above their true ability) and are ripping the arse out of a running out of excuses manager. If your knives are blunt, you aint gonna cut those carrots. So it is with our squad. We have not reinforced any of the crucial areas we lost post season, morale and team ethos in the dressing room is clearly as low as a sausage-dog's cock and every time those players pull on a shirt they must be thinking 'this could be my last pay day'. I don't sympathise with them - they are mostly shit players, held up by an evolving skill group (who would still struggle in the league above) like Murphy and in small amounts, Brayford. The rest - even the seemingly resurgent Flynn - should be shown the door if we fluke our way up. That's as likely as fuck all though because three goal free ventures for us will never be equalled by us letting in no goals either, and we will similarly fail to win from any resultant spot-kick tourney afterwards either. This isn't gloom mongering. It is shining a light on those dark areas we know have existed since August when the Champions-elect came to BDTBL and roughed us up a bit on telly. We were clearly not in control of the game then and are clearly like that now.

And as for Clough ... can any of you lot ever tell me of a time since Warnock was eased out of the door to spare the board the blushes of being dumped out of the PL first asking ... can you tell me any time in that intervening period when we have had a consistent period where we have been totally happy with the manager and/or the team? Can you tell me (apart from the odd game) when we have actually looked, felt and played like a side which can put itself about a bit for a string of consistent unbeaten games which makes you as fans think 'wow, we are on fire' and 'we are up this season, no mistake'. Tell me you don't deserve that. Tell those poor fuckers who went tonight.

Now tell me throughout that period of dismal return which has seen us sink lower than we ever thought we would (and stay there) which entity is the constant presence in and around the club?

Yeah.

Refund for fans? Oh dear. I went to Preston in the cup, we drew. Does that entitle ME to 50% back? Do the club get to charge fans more for a cracking performance at Barnsley? No it doesn't, man the fuck up blades and accept we play badly sometimes.

True enough it's admirable that they turned up in whatever numbers went. But refunds....

I think it's for people who'd actually notice an extra £23 in their account :)

It felt exactly like that around this time last season...or was that your point?

Good rant btw

Have you never seen a post match interview with a manager called Neil Warnock?

We were absolutely pathetic but I'd rather not have a refund. I choose to go knowing full well we're capable of performing like that.

At the end of the day, nobody would have suggested refunds had it been somewhere nearby. It's just annoying that our worst away performances this season just so happen to be chuffing miles away at Swindon, Gillingham and Yeovil.

There was a time when I never expected the Blades to be playing any of those teams!

Indeed. I think (unlike those who seem to be taking the suggestion literally) the idea of refunds is a figure of speech more than anything. When I went through my "every game, home and away" period, it was from mid seventies and all the way through the 80's. Shit performances were regular but it was part of the experience. The occasional sensational performance (scoring 6 at Cardiff for example) more than made up for a few pathetic efforts.

No-one who puts the effort in to go such distances would want or expect the money back, just an acknowledgement that standards weren't met and would try and be avoided in future would do the trick for most. It seems there isn't any desire to admit things aren't right though and I think that's wrong.

Little tip for the players; if you're going to piss off the boss with such a lousy performance, try not to do it when you have to sit on a coach with him for 4 hours afterwards.
