People write all kinds of stuff if they post regularly on forums.

Sometimes its remarkably prescient.
Sometimes its utter horse shit

Circumstances change, views change. The world moves one.

What I am basically saying is - who cares what someone once wrote on here? Its not a legal document, it doesn't affect peoples lives. Its just the ramblings of a group of people who like to shoot the shit about Sheffield United.

Is this still rumbling on FFS?

Everyone is very grateful he's been playing for us for the last 2 years and his goals have helped us to achieve our goal. Not one person has said otherwise and not one person doesn't appreciate what he has done.

If we're playing International Break Bingo, we've had threads about who we need to buy in the next transfer window, querying the merits of Billy Sharp - we're a post about McCabe away from a Full House!

Point scoring mate. Nothing more. Although one or two perhaps deserve to have their hypocrisy highlighted ;)

Not when you're hell bent on being proven right about everything, and showing how wrong everyone else is. Narcissists don't shoot shit, they just override everyone else.

Too right mate.

I never understand the point scoring that goes on here sometimes. I once wrote somewhere on this site that Clarke and McNulty can fuck off. Now I'm sat here with one of them on my profile picture. Times change! Move on!

Note: In the event that I have an argument with someone and they see a different profile picture when they bring this post up to score points, I'm definitely referencing a picture of McNulty riding shirtless on a unicorn right now.

That got me thinking what a bloody good film Leon is. A quick google image to check the film poster and lo and behold, I get:

This is Valery Leon,English actress and sometime Bond girl.

Okay, so it's not yet an official 'large breasts thread', but this bit of serendipity gives me hope.

If we're turning this into a large breasts thread then maybe I should put up that topless picture of McNulty after all...

Looking back I thought he was past it when he was linked, thankfully Nigel Adkins did his one good thing in his time here and persuaded Billy to come back.

What a decision that was.

👏👏👏👏

Pinch.

Are you allowing your obvious dislike of resigning previous players to cloud your judgement at all ?

Can you suggest a player with a CV as impressive as B S. who is
Available
Cheap
Wants to come here

??

Given your stated loathing of all things "hoof" why the "need" for a target man (albeit a mobile one) ?

You are overlooking the fact that Sharp has been very good at leading the line WHEN THE BALL IS PLAYED IN TO FEET as he is quite strong for a little un. Accepted that balls played over the top to run on to would be pointless, but that is what the wingers and Done are there for.

The best and most successful football we have played in recent times is when that giant of a man who gives Usain a run for his money was played as a lone striker. Yes none other than Jose Baxter !!!

The blueprint that is required is, contrary to popular belief in these parts, NOT a "target" man at all. All that this has EVER done as long as I can remember is to promote and encourage hopefull and at times aimless balls to a lone man who, 95% of the times loses possession or never gains it in the first place and the ball ends up coming straight back at us. Hopelessly inept tactics that should by now have gone well away.

I swear some of our fans would have us going back to the "good" old days of hoofing from the kick off in to touch as far down the pitch for a throw in as was possible, Perception being we have "gained" yardage.

FFS that's American football not the football we know and love.

Possession is 9/10 ths of the law. Period.

IMHO

I would take McNulty over Sharp everyday of the week. He was tremendous on Sunday.
I said in the summer that he's not the sort of player we need. We need a goalscorer, yes, but like many I think that McNulty can get us the goals and is real finisher. As IOM Blade said, McNulty was tremendous on Sunday and also v Southampton. But he seems to have a less physical game against the premiership sides.

What we do need is a big physical striker, O'Grady showed briefly what Clough wanted from Higdon. So I'd head straight to Brighton with an offer for O'Grady and get him back to the lane on a permanent deal.

If we've still got cash left, I'd sign Doyle from Chesterfield rather than gamble on Sharp's form and fitness

Oh and all that's after signing Brayford ;)

Well don't we look like a couple of twats.
