This summer could hardly have been worse if we’d not gone up

How do you derive that from my post?
I'm saying we don't know whether the club deserve slating for selling Ndiaye/Berge until the end of the window and we can assess whether we have adequately revamped the squad.
Just to add to this. It would be a massive achievement to have a capable squad ready for Saturday. Saturday just seems to early for us now. Got a feeling it could be an uncomfortable first gameIf Berge left then squad morale would be shattered and destroyed. It already looks low asit is, but selling both IN and SB would likely crush any hopes of a good start - which we desperately need.
I'm usualy optimistic, but I am concerned at this point.
I know it's not the point, but it's MondayFuck the window. The season starts on Saturday arguably with our easiest fixture of the seasons the season doesn’t start when the window closes.
Our midfield for Saturday is Norwood Osborn and slimane wirh duck all ahead of it.
it’s Tuesday.
Maybe Nick can get jiggy with him on his webcamLooks like the Prince is going to be feeling down in the dumps again for the next few days.
What the hell was the point in keeping both N’diaye and Berge just to get rid once we’re promoted. No matter how you spin it they’re a number of bizarre decisions which have been made and this one tops it for me.
Why Burnley though?
All the big European clubs he's been linked with the last few years and he ends up going there.
This, but we have the ridiculous contract situation.
What bothers me most is that we should have been on the front foot with Sander and IIly, and told them we would be selling them and prepare strategies to purchase players to replace them.
instead we’ve let the players and agents dictate the situation, and here we are, scrambling around for players.
I do believe that the money will be reinvested but we need to push the boat out to get the players in.
I know you cant structure transfers like this but even just from a PR standpoint it'd be a good luck for the club to bring in atleast 1 player before selling Berge
New ITK, right there !this week apparently
This really. I think hand on heart we probably all knew this was likely, we're not in a place just to let some of our biggest assets leave on a free. But why leave it so fucking late? We're now scrabbling around, every other club knows it and we'll get completely screwed in negotiations.I'm not against selling him but there's ways of doing it... surely you get a replacement lined up beforehand?
We've known all Summer that Ndiaye and Berge might leave and yet, here we are.
£30m(ish) better off but having spent about £6m and seemingly nothing close to landing before our first game of the season.
And how much harder have we made attracting players for ourselves?
If, as is likely, we lose our first few games how many players are going to want to come here at the end of the window?
The club that's come up lost its 4 best player's from it's promotion season and replaced none of them...
Rubbish.
Exactly. Ndiaye and Berge got us to where we needed to be. Rather not lose him for free end of the seasonUsing them to get promoted rather than selling them early.
