This is just some weird narrative that started in the stands then became law. He is a quality footballer, he absolutely took the piss out of us last season seemingly without even trying!
I hope he goes to Man U cos that will be a blow to Burnley’s chances ⚔️
It really isn't - it's my own analysis. Although I disagree with you I am respectful enough to allow your view to be your own considered opinion.

Berge gave me massive Dellas vibes. Decent player too slow to be in the thick of it in midfield. When he got the ball and got motoring down the wing he was great. We sadly didn't see enough of it. Obviously add in to that that playing for us hasn't really helped. Particularly in first prem relegation debacle.

Hope he prospers and us with him via our cut.

why anyone thought that selling him to Burnley was a good idea.

Good ideas and good business are two separate things though.

It's not our business or our money at stake.

Do you think we would have stayed in the PL if we had kept Berge and Illi ?

Berge is like Rodri. Berge is like Fabian. Jesus H Christ.

He's an above average Championship midfielder.

I may as well say Jack Robinson is like Rudiger.
Berge clearly isn’t as good as Rodri but then no one is. If the voters for the Ballon d’Or have anything about them then Rodri will win it by a country mile.

That said, describing Berge as “an above average Championship midfielder” is possibly further from the mark than the Rodri comparisons.

If Berge goes to Newton Heath he’ll do well because he’s a good Premier League midfielder.

If you see owning a football club as no different to owning any business then we see things differently - but that’s another conversation.

On Illy and Berge, they helped us keep the ball, win it back in the attacking third and create and score goals. Would they have kept us up? Who knows but it was a weak bottom of the Premier League and I’m very confident we’d have been far more competitive.

Seems Newton Heath still in it but not probably first choice. Dominoeffect awaiting as for so many clubs in august. Wish the transferseason was july and periode.
