lets all get toghether and think positive 4 next year, we are where we are, so lets all stop this bad mouthing, forward thinking for the season ahead. the only way is up, lets have a BIG SMILE:D

There Are people in life who will always concentrate on the negatives in life/love/football.... Maybe it's easier to go through life like that-expect the worst-me I prefer to look at life etc with a positive (and realistic) tilt. Couldnt agree more with op it's time fir us to be united.... Unfortunately we are only that in name.

the headace of last season has gone, there is a new battle ahead,so lets cheer the boys on, im sure some of them look at this site. good luck boys.

I think most of the disappointment was because we were so dreadful last season with a squad paid handsomely for delivering SFA. Most of us posting have to graft for our living and the perception of footballers having a cushy life is at odds with everyone else's reality.

If I frequented a restaurant that I had been to for years because I liked the atmosphere, the people there and the food, then it started to go right downhill should I say something or grin and bear it? If it happened time and time again even after several changes of management and replacement head chefs would you still go?

Of course it's the Blades we are taking about so there is no option. It's in your blood. It's in your soul.
This is a place where people can vent of frustration and share their views. It's not negativity for the sake of it. People care passionately about this club and the team and when things are bad they affect people.

Accept mediocrity if you like.
Put a coat hanger in your mouth and smile inanely for us all.
Clap and cheer when we go 2 goals down to some lowly 3rd Division rubbish.
Be happy and accept your lot. That's often the Blades way and that's why we mostly so disappointed.

But you are right, though. Most of us will be there cheering them on in the new season or glued to whatever medium we can access to keep track of the latest score.

It's in your blood and it's so addictive that even knowing it's going to be a shit season mishaps and mediocrity you just have to, don't you?

A bloke I work with actually wants us to lose the 1st five games of the season just so Mcabe has to sack Wilson. Never in all my days have I heard a fan wanting to lose games. What a numpty!

It's part of why we're where we are - fuckin happy clappers

but arent we all by definition happy clappers ? i mean ,as long as you hand over your hard earned cash youre happy and if you turn up and fulfill your end of the consumer -supplier relationship then you will inevitably clap at some point

so in summary ,everyone who buys a ticket and goes to the match is a happy clapper

daft appointment in my opinion .............. could turn very nasty at BDTBL .....time will tell.

I don't really sense a negativity (based purely on forums mind you !). Once the euphoria of DW's background has died down I think people are starting to look ahead and the debates seem to be where do we go from here rather than anything negative. Of course the usual suspects will have their axes to grind but I think once the fixtures are out and the transfer market starts to pick up, most will start looking forward to what could be a good (and different) season.

weve all got to think in a positive manner. If fans turn up with the noose ready then they may as well stay away-you go there to support, not disembowel.
DW has a huge job,not just on the pitch, but to turn the fans heads in a positive direction. If the results come, then so will his popularity-if they come and we are playing good football, then he could be a messiah.
But the big but here-is the BUT.

The positive thing is that Wendy fans are laughing at this appointment. Im now expecting another dire season with a side trying but failing to play football. So if anything, it can only get better... Can't it?

New season and see what happens. No one (in spite of there being ITKers and all that shite) has a clue how a football club really works and how decisions are really made. Yes we have every right to question and ask for answers, but the honest truth is until we get going again I don't see how anyone can be in a position to comment positive or negative.

Once you get used to the relegation and utter shambles of last season you have to dust yourself down and start again. Its not like you have a choice is it?

2011/12 first league title in how many years????

The third division is the only division that we have never finished top of, so it makes sense to go back there and try and put that right!

Interesting point....if (big if) we were to finish champions we will be only one to win all four divisions (I think) obviously excluding what is now the premiership!

You can't really just do that. Otherwise we haven't won the 'Championship' either, or League 2.

Don't buy into what Sky would like us to believe that was no top division prior to 1992...

I'm sure it's been done before.

Edit: Aye, Darren put in another thread that Wolves have done it.

Hmm Champions!. What I'm looking forward to is a bit of stability and steady progress next season with some players introduced from the youth team and a general feeling that the new players who have come in from whatever source are earning their brass, increasing in value and want to play for the club. No more overoptimistic promises, sackings, demonstrations, expensive loans, quick fixes. Just decent entertainment and genuine optimism for the future. That's not too much to ask. And a place in the playoffs above Wednesday would be great.

Cheers-wasn't sure if they had won div 4. Obviously not going to contest what the dazzler stated...he probably knew it without searching t'net! Oh well....we would probably come second on goal difference anyway ;) a last minute defeat or something typically sufc!

Funnily enough we lost out to wolves last time we were in div 3....on goal difference was it not?!

No, we remained ahead of Port Vale on goal difference, but finished 8 points behind Wolves.
