Spot on..... just like we never replaced JOC....what is it with us and defenders. At one point last season we had Seriki, Gilchrist, Clarke, Choudhury who could play right back. We lost 3 of them and brought in who ?

It won't do his confidence much good either, we've already brought another player in to play his proper position, then thrown him on somewhere he looked completely lost. A bit like when Selles played Cannon right wing, when he was already struggling in his proper role.

He needs to stop doing that, very weird that it happened so many times. The ref didn't seem to like him, despite Matos ending up the most fouled player on the pitch.

To be fair to him, he got involved. Most touches per minute on the pitch. 93% pass completion. Won 7/8 duels. Couple of crosses. Tough to throw him on out of position against an opponent a foot taller.

But it's time to admit Seriki never was among our biggest issues and restore him to the starting eleven now.

Gilchrist was available this summer. I always thought he was solid and improving all the time, but can understand if he didn't want to come back after we signed Harry Clarke to replace him (another Wilder classic).

Seriki simply has to come back despite his alleged 'issue'. He's not perfect but at least he's a right back. And he can change a game. Hell, I'd happily even play him right wing too if we don't trust him defensively - he's better than Ogbene.
