Yes, I agree, Marsh needs games in a team he can be competitive in, which i guess that's why he's gone to Chesterfield now.

Ayew that just played in the world cup, you mean?

I wasn't sure in the relevance of him being brought into a conversation about Marsh. I don't see Marsh being out on loan being connected to Ayew. The loan is about Marsh's development towards first team football with United or as you say, being sold on with a future value

Marsh isn't ready and won't get game time. So it made complete sense that he was sent on loan and its great to see he's doing well so far

Ayew is an aged player, who has offered very little at his previous club, won’t improve, won’t see his value increase and has little or no loyalty to the club.
Marsh plays in a similar position and is the complete opposite of all the points raised about Ayew. He might prove to be not good enough at this level but Ayew proved that last year…despite him going to the World Cup.
I know who I’d rather see coming on for the last 20 minutes of a game

He played left wing.

He’s not and never has been a left winger.

Bit unfair to judge a lad when, with limited experience, he’s asked to “do a job” for the team.

I think the two are entirely independent at this point.

Marsh clearly needed games in the lower tier to develop.
He simply wouldn't have made the bench other than to fill a position.

Now he's able to play regular football and get game time he wouldn't have had at the lane.

Maybe he comes back in Jan, like Arblaster did from Port Vale, but there is value in him playing regularly for Chesterfield

To be fair SwissBlade there are players in the Cape Verde and Curaçao squads that went to the World Cup too but wouldn’t get on the Kiveton team!

Like the old “he’s got experience of playing in Europe” when he’s turned out for some Latvian minnows that declared a National holiday when they didn’t get ten put past them!

I do agree to some level, I would rather we took a loan from a Premier League club, someone who wants to impress than Ayew who just wants a pay day. Marsh needs games and good to see him getting those, and goals, with Chesterfield.
Only hope is that One gets game time when he is fit.

It is fucking annoying in fairness. I have to admit I only look at the site properly when someone flags up an issue so I appreciate the heads up.

I know how unreadable a website can be with too many ads. I've read The Star

I don't think its about Ayew or another loanee, its an entirely independent point after you decide whether he's ready or not for the first team. The reality, in my view, is that he's not ready. So the option is keep him in the dev squad and stick him on the bench when were desperate, unlikely to even get off the bench, or send him on loan.

Loaning out players isn't always the answer, but i think for Marsh it was.

A Premier League loan will be expensive and will need to play regularly.
Ayew is a “last 15 minuter” that we needed so to not leave us short but won’t be a regular starter.
I don’t expect much from him but I don’t see who else we could have got in the circumstances.

We played Marsh, who’s a #10/centre forward, at left midfield against Blackburn. It’s not surprising he looked a bit lost because it’s a completely different role. Says a lot about the manager that he even asked Marsh to do that.

There is no place for Marsh in the current Jurassic 4-4-fucking-2. He’s better off at Chestervegas.
 
Watched buyabu at Rotherham today - blowing out his arse after 20 min and the 2/3 times he got ball one on one with full back he passed backwards with no intention of attacking - forget this one not worth it

Could you perhaps turn it in to a podcast?

You could then do the accents for each club while also making each individual view sound like a different person. I think we'd all LOVE to hear this.

I was at Cambridge v Wimbledon today. Sam Curtis not in Cambridge’s match-day squad. They played 3-4-3. Curtis was already in competition with established favourite right back Liam Bennett. Hard to see how he gets many games. Seems an odd loan move for him.
 
Zatterstrom not playing is quite a funny bit now. He's got to be one of the highest paid footballers per minutes on the pitch and it's not even like he's injured or banned!
