Reality of being in div 1 kicks in , should take a good following for this roses battle , a winning start would be nice

Oldham is famous for its proximity to Maidenhead after all..

Looking forward to this one. Hopefully can get tickets and Oldham might give us the full end. Just read on the Football Ground GUide that the away end holds 4,600 seperated into 3k and 1.6k.

Looks like Pigs might have only got the 1600 side for there game last season however it was a night match. Oldham could cash in and open the whole end to us. I am sure we will take 4000 if given the opportunity.

They usually give 1600 to away fans. However they may open the whole of the end behind the goal (they usually split it) and give us 3k. Not sure about us filling it. Difficult to gage really. People will be disullisioned after relegation, 4 years of decline and an underwhelming summer. But it is not far, the first game and will hopefully be sunny. Be nice if we took 3k.

just as an aside theres a regular bus from huddersfield to oldham that only takes 45 minutes if anyone is close enough to huddersfield to make it an option
I once went on the train from meadowhall / chapeltown to huddersfield then got the bus was pretty good

Oldham ST holders in Rochdale rd end been told they are sitting in other places around the ground- at least 3000 tickets will be available

Think we should take 3k, the thought of a reasonably priced away day at a tin-pot Lancastrian ground in the sun (hopefully) should warm the cockles of any 'true' bladesman's heart.

PS - good ground guide link but it fails to tell you whether Satan (Seton?) still supports Oldham, as was proudly emblazoned on the top roof of the stand behind the goal a few years ago.

Oldham tickets go on sale Monday 18th July, loyalty points required for that day and following days being worked out right now.

Mate of mine got my dad and I tickets for this one today. Looking forward to it. Echo the thoughts of others that it is good of Oldham to givbe us so many tickets. Would be nice if we could sell out both allocations.
