One, Marsh, Campbell, Hamer the pick for me.

Think we’ll need a Souza replacement in centre midfield as the high press will expose that area.

Great to see everyone bought into Ruby Selles football which is encouraging.

Instinct tells me we need the Board to pony up and bring in 2-3 real quality players, one at DMC and two wingers.

UTB
O hare was head and shoulders our best player

Scorers in Norway. Ukaki happy

Very good first pre-season friendly. We looked much better going forward. Iffy at the back, but considering we had zero CMs (who you'd expect to cover) playing it's hard to judge.

Marsh looked tricky. O'Hare heavily involved. Better signs from Cannon. It looked more joined up. Attempting to split their defence.

I think you have the first half right hand side, the second half left hand side.

One looked on a mission, was impressed with Ukaki’s effort but I’m not sure Caceres is going to make it.

Rest of the first team looked in really fine fettle.

Decent work out,a lot better pace about it than the usual first friendly, although missed the first half hour...looked like 4231 2nd half but hard to mske out on my phone.

Ukaki or Caceres both better from the bench with the first 11. Early days.talent is there
I was surprised by this when I saw the lineups for both halves. You're not going to learn much about Ukaki and Caceres in the second half line up compared to playing them alongside Hamer and O'Hare. The second half team was always going to be disjointed which won't have helped them both.

Caceres Hampson Hamer
Ukaki Moore One
Yes, but Hamer is clearly given a lot of freedom. At times he dropped deep to help us build attacks, which saw Hampson venture forward.

In the first half it was more traditional with Blacker as the holding 6, and O'Hare and Marsh the two 8s.

Sky sports are saying Barrie loan deal agreed with Villa. Need a good strong defensive mid, based on tonight's match.

Who is going to want Davies unless we want rid
If someone offered money, I think I would take it.

He is clearly real class, but does just feel like he won't stay fit.

It does sound like he's injured though...

Tyler Bindon is the winner my ‘Anel Ahmedhodžić - snap judgement ‘He’s going to be good ‘ award.

O’hare the winner last year.

Thought he looked like a a class player. He looked composed, good on the ball and unbothered. He had the play style of a really good quality PL centre back for me. Similar to how Anel stood out to me in his first friendly outing

I take it you’re ignoring the part where he stepped into midfield, misjudged the flight of the ball, got turned, dragged his man down, and in a league game would probably have got a yellow card??

Stream must have cut off at that point 😅. I did think he ‘looked’. like he was a good player at least stylistically compared to robbo and RND.

He’s certainly not up for the ‘Barry Hayles - ‘who the fuck is this donkey’ award. After his debut at Matlock when he was the comfortably the worst player on the pitch against a side we best 14-0 or something

I was really pleased for RND tonight looked like he was getting back to his previous levels. I’m not hanging my hat on him but to say he has 2 years left on his contract and we might actually get some use out of him as a squad player was pleasently surprising. Wouldn’t surprise me if Anel, Robbo , Bindon and RND are our CB’s this season.

Following a lot of focus on the way he speaks, good to see him show a bit of a nasty side, taking one for the team, stopping the break even though he was turned.
