Could be 2,000 plus going, should be rocking in Oldham. Can't wait! Train tickets will be sorted this Sunday UTB

Hoping to get tickets tomorrow. Where is everybody going pub wise beforehand?

Think were getting a train at 8.30 from Chap according to my mate. Drinking in Manchester before hand. How is everyone getting to the ground? Taxis and Busses?

Cant wait for Saturdays to be back to normal.

Get the 182/181 or 24 from Lever street Piccadilly gardens, will drop you very close to ground/pubs.

Taxis, try Royton cars on 0161 6527373, should be able to sort you out for less than £20...

Aye, just a warning to all those not aware... the train station in Oldham is closed for repair work so you'll need to seek alternative transport from Manchester (see breeny's message above).

We've just about got a car full.

Most important question.... where we drinking? :D

Dear Aunt Clare,

It's my wife's 50th birthday. What, oh what, should I do?

Presumably she's been with you quite a while and would expect no better... go to the match :D

So who's going on the train then and what time? Is there an ale club meeting planned? Help me out here guys, I'm travelling Billy No-mates on this one... :(

are there any tickets left does anyone know?

I believe so yes. They've let us have quite a few :)

I'd get in soon if you are bothered though!

We might have a spare seat if we ever decide who's driving :)

Nice one Foxy. Could you let me know when you decide? That would be more than great, thanks.

Looks like I'll be driving, and there's a spare seat in the back if you want it?

Usual deal is, just chip in towards petrol. We'll probably get there nice and early with excitement.

Can't remember where abouts in Sheffield you are?

cant wait now.

All together now

O we aint got a barrel of Money

Thanks mate. PM in your inbox. :)

4 of us coming over in the car. M1 North and then M62. Off at junction for Oldham and then try and park North of ground (to make getting away easier) and then go for a few scoops. First decent looking pub (i.e. with hand pumps serving real ale) that has a few red and white shirts inside or out and we will be in there for a couple of beers. Then to the ground (about 15 mins before kick of me thinks) to soak up the atmopshere and get ready for over 3K Blades fans taking over Boundary Park :)

Be Brave Danny!

All best wishes for your first game. Bring back football to BDTBL and you'll be a 'proper' legend!

Start off as you mean to go on, mate. Two strikers and proper footballers in midfield: Willo and D-Mac (until you sign K-Mac that is!). Give us a Monty-free zone!

Love from RAPFA

Time to  Football.

:)

anyone settled on a blades friendly boozer yet?

i saw somewhere else that people were just talking of meeting up in piccadilly gardens in manchester, then going straight to the ground from there...? a sensible idea based on my experience of oldham pubs ;)

on the down side, there's a weekend-long event going on in piccadilly gardens - "bbq in the gardens" - so it will be very, very busy...

the train isnt running at the moment due to some serious work on the line in prep for the tram service

which leaves the buses...

there's quite a few buses that go up oldham rd into the town centre, but as ghandi says above, the best ones for getting to boundary park are probably the 181 and 182, which go from piccadilly gardens

the 82 and 83 are the other main buses to oldham, but they take slightly longer iirc. they go from the bottom of oldham street, just round the corner from picc gardens, into the centre of oldham (not as close to boundary park as the 181 & 182)

Cheers for that pal. Am setting off at 6am and it's all abit last second!
