Unpopular opinion: the celebrations were a bit OTT

I think you might be putting a bit too much thought into what a ‘like’ on Twitter means.

How many of those likes were from pigs or fans of clubs who have a dislike for the Blades? People may have read that post with a preconceived idea about us and liked it as a result of that.

Even if 90% of those likes are from bots, trolls and SWFC fans, that 10% is double the amount of those expressing with disagreement with the point on here.

By your same logic, a huge amount/all of those disagreeing with the OP here have a like for the Blades:)

No not at all, I was taking other people's arguments to their logical conclusion. The match over the weekend was not a normal one played under normal circumstances and it would be churlish to suggest otherwise. The fact that we were only two points ahead of them is to our shame, and our poor season is why our previous manager was sacked after only 6 games.

We should have been comfortable favourites, and we won comfortably. Yes we can celebrate, but 'great achievement' it is not.

ReeceofBDTBL many neutral football fans had the same reaction to this, you can disagree with them for sure or don't care for sure but doesn't mean the view isn't well founded or sincere:

The guy that runs that page is a wednesday fan btw, this is known and eye poppingly obvious if you take a look at all the other posts from this page relating to the pigs.

And again, strip all the other context away, its just a photo for the biggest win over our rivals in 70 years.

So we should discount Blades fans who make the opposite point by that logic?

Also, it depends how you define 'biggest win'. The 2017 match was a bigger win imho.

If you are going on the scores, would you say beating Man United 4-0 now is a bigger win than beating them 1-0 in 1999?

Agree with much of the above, but two things can true at the same time- imho it was ott to take a team photo like we did, though I accept and respect the majority on here don't agree.

Personally I would like to reach a stage of us being indifferent to them “The opposite of love isn’t hate; it’s complete and utter indifference.”

That's how Man U were towards Man City for decades- indifference is the greatest insult there can be.

What a child Neville was, and still is!
