Pure 'pay as you play' isn't a real thing. Players may have deals with decent appearance bonuses but they aren't turning up to train etc for free

Something for Tom Cannon to think about in (checks notes) 1,329 days, when his United deal endsIt probably is, albeit at Dronfield Town levels
From listening to others talk about it, it sounds like he’s quite prone to falling in with bad influences. when he was playing regularly for Spurs the club kept a close eye on him but when he was injured and spent time away it seems like he went off the rails because lf having bad people around him that didn’t look out for his best interests. Was it mentioned why his past became an issue later on in his career?
With Ravel he never settled anywhere from the off as Pro. Dele had a solid period of around 5? years playing at a top level for Spurs, in the Champions League and doing well for England. Was he injured and then all the bad things in his childhood surfaced?
We've been suckered many, many times before into offering lucrative and lengthy contracts to has-beens and crocks. Dele Ali is no differentHe won't get a PL club. He needs to drop down for one season. Blues or Disney FC would fit with their exposure. I'd snap your hands off for him. He has had issues off the field, needs a fresh start and no pressure away from the PL. Would be our best midfielder by a country mile
The list of times this sort of gamble on a career resurrection has paid off before anywhere is very, very short.
Unresolved childhood trauma can resurface at any time. It is often completely buried until it isn’t any more, and the timing of when that happens is not predictable. Some sort of trauma can trigger it, but so can something relatively small that would seem inconsequential. Was it mentioned why his past became an issue later on in his career?
