Don't knock working at aldi .....just saying
You don’t need to ‘just say’ as I wasn’t knocking working in a supermarket-but I highly doubt that role is going to pay for the considerable outgoings he has accumulated as a professional footballer.

Why does he need to do anything right this second?

But mainly, I pointed out that something might be unhealthy for someone, I can't claim to fix anything
Don’t think it’s unhealthy for him, he just happens to have dropped off in terms of levels. He’d be fine in Saudi or the US and still earn a good coin.

It's not all about that. He's had so many massive issues for so long, since being a kid. Being in an environment where you are under the spotlight, social media bollocks etc he could well be best out of it.
I'm sure he's ok financially, so he should do whatever is best for him as a person, not just what oats beat.

I went through some of the exact same things as he did as a youth, no one knows what is best for him and his mental health. Who’s to say football isn’t the one thing that keeps him going so why would he want to quit?
No one outside his circle knows.
Equally people saying he’s only good enough for national league are incorrect- he still can forge a career as a pro footballer- just at a lower standard than he’s used to (whether that’s in the championship remains to be seen)

I don’t think that’s fair- if you read some of the things Ravel has done then the two are completely incomparable

They could both boil down to similar root causes though.

I once read that the staff at Man United academy had to teach Ravel how to brush his teeth properly and the basics of hygiene as he’d basically fended for himself from such a young age. He was dragged up in poverty and what little care he got seemed to be from his grandparents.

Dele Alli plays with the name Dele on his shirt because his father was an utter cunt and he has nothing to do with him. He was sexually abused aged 6 before being adopted.

I think they both had utterly shit childhoods but just happen to be very gifted footballers. Make them rich and famous at a very young age and they’re going to struggle mentally to adjust

He's a player that I think needs the club to get round him and make him feel loved, supported, and get him loving football again.

After seeing how we are with Brewster/Cannon etc, we are not the right club for him.

Exactly. He should do what's best for him personally, not just chase the dollar.
That could be football in so many capacities. Or could be something completely different. Whatever is best for his head.

Another example of a cracking young footballer who was ruined by the money and had his head turned by the bright lights.he should have been going to the world cup next year. Don't know who the lads agent/ advisor is but he needs to get rid and try and reset his life .
Didn't realise he's still only 29 .

Having just read about his childhood in Wikipedia, there seem to be plenty of reasons to explain his going off the rails
