Sure, some new centre backs would be great, but until we replace the belief, grit, camaraderie and unified ethic that so quickly evaporated, I'll be sleeping on hay. Where a couple of centre backs might help, I don't see where the galvanisation comes from. It's a tricky alchemy this football management business.

You make an interesting point about belief, unity, grit etc. I can’t put my finger on why I think that way, but looking at the players on the pitch, something definitely doesn’t seem right with their demeanour

I can't overstate its importance! I've been here long enough to hear it called various things, both positively and derogatory, but it's the ingredient that can't be faked, substituted, or quantified, and we seem to be severely lacking it right now.

But in Sheffield I would say there’s a something very different the in the DNA that determines Blades from the Wendies…Optimism!
