I abhor the early bedwetting and toys-pram-throwing we saw on here in the early
weeks of Selles' tenure, however, I have been away from social media travelling for the last couple of days and firmly expected a replacement for either Moore or Ahmedhodzić to follow their departure. The weird, frankly cringeworthy/fake happy social media content is a strange response to a club who has just lost two first teamers (albeit expected). I do think the club has to instill some positivity with a statement signing or two. We looked solid vs Nice, and preseason was a success, but it's time to replenish the squad properly. I think we're in for a good season and have a modern manager at the helm who needs support.

He played for Charlotte FC in the MLS and scored 17 goals in 59 games and initially went on loan to a lower level feeder club scoring 10 goals in 12 games.

Obviously our AI recruitment missed him (because it's only set to Bulgaria according to some on here), so we should have signed him because he stood out to the whole footballing world.

Another reason to criticise Selles and the new owners. Same old, same old.

Who is criticising?

I merely pointed out that he's a half decent player. We can't sign every good player, so I'm not sure if anyone other than your straw man, is berating the board for this.

BTW, Clough got pelters for only signing players from Derby, Blackpool and Scotland.
I'm not sure our concentration on Bulgaria is that wonderful either.

Yep, strange that you're not concerned at the current direction our club is going in...
Apologies pal, obviously you’re right and you’ve convinced me. I promise that tomorrow I’ll spend 5 minutes running around waving my hands in the air and squealing whilst shitting my pants over things I have zero control over. You’ve persuaded me that it’s the way to go. Don’t know why I didn’t see it before.

Isnt the point of a forum to discuss your thoughts and concerns about your club?

Who would they replace in our current strongest starting line up? If they're just signed as squad players then they're a drain on wages.

Harry Darling was signed by Norwich long before Anel was sold. Bindon was likely already lined up by then so Darling would've been a high earner sat on the bench, or Bindon would've been a high earner sat on the bench? What do you then do with RND and Robinson? You can't release RND when he's just signed a new deal and no one will buy him. Could we get him out on loan somewhere? We didn't need Darling at the time.

We've signed Doyle to replace/compete with Peck as a Souza replacement. Again, we've saved a large transfer fee in getting him in on loan. We didn't need to spend the money on Doyle or O'Brien. We certainly wouldn't need both.

John Swift is past his prime and not the same player we were after years ago. Again who would he replace? Hamer? O'Hare or again would he sit on the bench on big wages. He's also 30 so he'd be 31 if we got promoted. He's spent pretty much his whole career in the Championship so he's not likely to take the Premier League by storm now.

As for Agyemang. He cost Derby £5.8mil. Who is he replacing? First choice Campbell? Second choice Cannon? Or does he also sit on the bench wasting wages?

They all may improve our squad but weren't needed for the starting eleven, so they'd all be unnecessary signings, a drain on the wage bill, a loss towards FFP, not to mention taking up valuable spaces in the 25 man squad in the Premier League if we got promoted.

It's easy picking out names and saying we should have signed x, y and z, but the bigger picture is further from that in reality.

Our starting eleven when everyone is available will likely be;

Cooper
Seriki / Bindon / Robinson / Burrows
O'Hare / Soumare / Hamer
Brooks / Campbell / Barry

Who would any of those players replace and which players in the current squad could we realistically sell to free up space for them in the squad?
The poster said that 'no quality players' are signed before the start.

Are you seriously saying that none of the above are quality?

Do you think Soumane, a player you have never seen, is better than Doyle?

Do you think Robinson, one of the most regularly abused players on here, is steadier than Darling?

Wonder if the minority will end up become the majority?
No, because most are able to express their discontent without spraying all of their bodily secretions around the place. I’m not saying that you do that by the way, your schtick is unsubstantiated rumours that can’t be relied upon, but I’m sure you know what I’m getting at regarding the bed wetters/shitters, premature ejaculaters and invertebrates.

Well, I'm going to officially declare myself in the bed wetting corner. I have a horrible feeling about this season. Really hope I'm wrong but....
It has the look of the insane appointment of Milo when the best manager in England Eddie Howe was available.
When I see these so called managers who think there is only one way to play - no matter how batshit - with no regard to the abilities of HIS ie the TEAM players
I think of a new manager at Bassets
who says 'I don't like All Sorts, I like sausages
Lets make sausages instead!'
How well would that go down?

The bigger problem I see is then the Chairman owner WANTED promotion.
I fear this lot are not aiming for promotion.
They are aiming for PROFITS on selling on cheap players (and regular fees for searching for them, and directors income etc) hence the appointment of a none descript manager with a record of developing young players (apparently) with no money at Reading.
INVESTORS - seeking ROI Return On Investment

ps. Can't help wondering what the completely changed team will look like at Brum on TV on wendy.
Cos of course we have to concentrate on the league and promotion and it is early in the season so the team has to be changed.

pps even funnier is possibly Wendy's all changed team. It will have to be u-18's I think having deployed the whole first team and U-21's today.
What a shambles in Sheffield.
