The last couple of days really has been akin to seeing those so called hardest lads in the playground, reduced to tears by anyone who says 'no' to them or has the audacity to challenge their self created superiority or main lad. They'll blow themselves out, go quiet but the tantrums will start when they have an opportunity to increase their noise and drama again. Like kids, the most dangerous time is likely when they're quiet.

It's what they do. I hope COH and their advisers are well prepared.

I really despair at the naivety of some of our fans.
Surely people realise that every single owner is a chancer.

They only own a club hoping to acquire fame, fortune and success. So of course, indirectly they have the best interest of the club at heart because a successful clubs brings a return on their investment.

It's too early to know how good COH sports will be. Only time will tell. Selles might be an inspired appointment. My main concern is that he was available as a free agent so to speak and I would have been more understanding of their approach has they headhunted a manager on post that was doing well in whatever League etc. Appointing Selles or O'Neil just looked a bit low bar to me.

Saying that I'm many ways Selles has an impressive CV over his career not just as a manager.

I do think the board have handled the departure of Wilder poorly but maybe they couldn't say what they wanted too because of sorting out compensation etc. We'll see how much money we spend this summer and who we retain.

I think the owners are ambitious. Will get slated for this but we needed a change and hopefully the right one to progress.

I agree. We've been decades behind other clubs for years now (Bournemouth, Brighton etc) sometimes you have to speculate to accumulate.

The main issue for me has been our transfer policy, particularly when spending more than a few mil. I don't believe these new owners are arsed about us fans but I do believe they want a ROI and for that to happen they are gonna have to put their hands in their pockets.

I will just start off by saying I am stunned many will know I didn't hide my disdain for some of Chris Wilders tactical decisions and team decisions last season but I cannot believe we have replaced Chris Wilder with Ruben Selles.

That has to be the worst managerial appointment I can recall in my life time and we have seen some dross over the years.

But this is taking the biscuit who was in charge of finding our next manager Stevie Wonder?

I was willing to give the new owners COH Sports the benefit of the doubt.

But they have already proven they are a set of chancers I.M.O and to me it looks like the Prince has sold us to a set of penniless owners who ar going to rely on cheap foreign Imports hoping they can come good and make a profit.

I am absolutely astounded at the decision to appoint Ruben Selles Cooper Ahmedhodzic Hamer Souza etc will be off and I guarantee the money will go on cheap foreign sh*te and league 1 players that are not good enough.

Any optimism I had for the new season has disappeared and I feel thoroughly depressed being a Blade yet again.

Because as soon as we get ourselves into a good position on and off the field the owners somehow manage to f it up.

And it appears we have another set of Chancers in COH Sports who clearly do not have a clue what they are doing.

I can see the atmosphere turning ugly at the Lane especially if we have a bad start.


And if any representatives of COH are reading this well done for turning our club into a laughing stock appointing a manager that wasn't even good enough for Hull.

What a weird poll because both options apply and it won’t let you vote for both options.

The reality of the situation is

Yes, of course our owners are chances, all business men who buy football clubs are.
Every owner with intelligence do their homework and see a business/football club that is under performing and they are confident they can do better.
So they tend to change all the things that don’t work. Part of the problem is this insular “frightened of change” Sheffield mentality, which holds the city back.
It was the same when we had Hecky and no one wanted a change in manager back then either.

And Yes, of course the owners have the best interest of the club at heart. Why’s that you ask?
Maybe it’s because they’ve gambled £100 million of their own money on making Sheffield United profitable which normally only comes if there’s success on the pitch.

Success for Sheffield United FC = the owners professional and maybe even personal success, they are interlinked.
