I will just start off by saying I am stunned many will know I didn't hide my disdain for some of Chris Wilders tactical decisions and team decisions last season but I cannot believe we have replaced Chris Wilder with Ruben Selles.

That has to be the worst managerial appointment I can recall in my life time and we have seen some dross over the years.

But this is taking the biscuit who was in charge of finding our next manager Stevie Wonder?

I was willing to give the new owners COH Sports the benefit of the doubt.

But they have already proven they are a set of chancers I.M.O and to me it looks like the Prince has sold us to a set of penniless owners who ar going to rely on cheap foreign Imports hoping they can come good and make a profit.

I am absolutely astounded at the decision to appoint Ruben Selles Cooper Ahmedhodzic Hamer Souza etc will be off and I guarantee the money will go on cheap foreign sh*te and league 1 players that are not good enough.

Any optimism I had for the new season has disappeared and I feel thoroughly depressed being a Blade yet again.

Because as soon as we get ourselves into a good position on and off the field the owners somehow manage to f it up.

And it appears we have another set of Chancers in COH Sports who clearly do not have a clue what they are doing.

I can see the atmosphere turning ugly at the Lane especially if we have a bad start.

And if any representatives of COH are reading this well done for turning our club into a laughing stock appointing a manager that wasn't even good enough for Hull.

I think with the money they've sunk, they probably want the same thing we do.

I don't kid myself that they give a monkeys about the fans, not many chairmen do. But so long as they want a return, they have to get out of this league.

If I quit my day job every time my manager changed I'd be on about my seventh job since we appointed Wilder, but as some of us at least pretend to be professional, I'm not

I suspect they might wish for it to go successfully... Whether they've made the right decision with that in mind will be seen.

One thing they have to do, is back their move and give it the best chance of working long term, by committing to it properly and ensuring everything is in place to give the man heading it, no excuses.

How will 'buying cheap foreign shite' enable them to make a profit?
They need promotion to have any chance of making money.

Funny that I feel the exact opposite

Which one are you?

Also, if they are truly committed to the “modern club” mantra, they should put everything in place that the man heading it is easily interchangeable if it doesn’t come off.

I really really hope it pays off but I don’t like how they’ve gone about this. News channels have been reporting with a lot of certainty for days now and then they give us 20 mins between announcing Wilder’s departure and Selles appointment? Seems disrespectful to me and massively underestimating Wilder’s importance

The owners/Board of Directors paid a lot of money to buy The Blades from The Prince. They wanted to sign a new manager, Selles. I back them. Give our new manager a chance to show us what he can do for the Blades. I am impressed by the first interview He did a few hours ago.So I will back Him as a proper Blade should do.
UP THE BLADES.

Hopefully they have outlined budgets etc during interviews and they will stick to them , unlike the Prince with Slav

At the minute there's a lot more questions than answers that's for sure. I think by Christmas we'll know if we have great minds, with expertise and big money behind them or a bunch of techies playing at it like school children. This transfer window is pivotal and will be very revealing.

There must be something underlying in this guy to make them feel he's the right appointment. On the face of it we've rolled the dice for no reason and come up with a weird solution.

The management equation is usually very simple: if you sack a good manager you usually get a worse one. In United's case it usually takes us a long time to get another good one. The apprehension is normal and understandable. Time will tell.

You're not allowed to object to us being a laughing stock, unfortunately. According to the geniuses on here, being the butt of everyone's jokes is perfectly fine. I can only assume the type of people who think this are the type to spend their spare time in certain establishments on Attercliffe, paying prostitutes to piss on them, seen as they're evidently taking such great pleasure in the owners shitting all over us from a great height.

How about giving the guy a chance?

Thomas Frank only got Brentford to 10th last season. Tottenham must be mad employing him. He hasn't won anything. He's a rubbish manager. They just sacked Ange after he won a trophy and replaced him with Frank. Wah, wah, wah!!!

I do wish some of our fans could look at the bigger picture and not just judge people on results and league position.

For me the appointment is there because he has been identified as having potential. When you look at the clubs he has been at, he was chucked in Hecky Mk2 style at Southampton where he didn’t have a chance but still managed to beat Chelsea away and get a 4-4 draw from Liverpool. At Reading he had zero cash with the club on the brink of going bust. He was chucked in at Hull being bottom of the league and managed to save them from relegation. He had a net spend of approx £1.5mill with some loan signings in January to keep them up. With some cash behind him and better players to work with there is potential that we drag ourselves and some of the fan base out of the factories, mills, steelworks, whippets and flat caps and into the 21st century.

You may be right, but with little evidence to back your views I think it would be better to see what the squad looks like on 1st September and then how it progresses up to Christmas.
To write off a new manager before he starts work and new owners before they have had chance to implement their ideas is unfair.
Having read the latest Board statement I feel positive about the next few years and how the Club can progress.
