I know this has been talked to death. But it's only just now sinking in for me how much last summer has set us back.
We've pretty much lost all our best players of the Premier League era now, all were on high wages, but the thing is they all (mostly) justified their high wages.
Last summer we bought players, chucking money around when we had no plan whatsoever. We purchased average championship players, on top championship player wages. So now even next year, loads of players are going to leave (good riddance) but I still don't see how we'll be able to bring anyone of top quality in, as we'll need to fill the squad back out and the high earners will still be in the squad (SCR).
It's fair to say, what an absolute clusterfuck by the owners. The sooner they get some investment, and better advisors can't come soon enough.
It's safe to say these guys have failed fast, but it is their motto I suppose. Not seen a single thing since last summers nightmare that helps the team move forward. The most important thing is the playing squad, which has been torn apart limb by limb.
