Had a look this morning for any sites with accurate transfer fees and or values.
There was nothing I saw that made any sense.
Placed minimum fee values based on
1 Fees paid - valid or not in my eyes
2. Inability of Wilder to extract good fees
eg No 1 target of Leeds Bogle £6m
No 1 internally rated graduate of academy Will Osula £10 million
Tommy Cannon £12 million
3. Apparent imbecility of COH in all things football plus their history
eg Souza £12 million half his value in a hurry at the start of last close season.
They are NOT my evaluations but my impression of how other people may see them in the circumstances
AND THE BEST WE AS FANS CAN EXPECT
Hopefully not missed anybody off of any value who may go (Marsh Frickleton? etc)
eg Soumare will not be bought regardless of money - we do not have any money.

I've gone for Bamford & Riedewald because we had a glimpse of life without them at the beginning of last season and it was not pretty!
Also gone for Seriki & Brooks because it will be a joy to watch those two down the right as their careers blossom. I also think they both look better when playing together.
Last one I selected was O'Hare. Deserved winner of Player of the Year from his performances earlier in the year. It would also be hard to replace his workrate.

Don't agree with point #2.

Bogle wanted out and in last year of contract. He was worth probably £6-8m when sold but contract status meant we cashed in.

I think you are the first person to say getting £10m for Osula was bad business.

Come on. Who voted for Cannon?

Own up!

To be fair, I'm not sure Dkc took the exercise particularly seriously given that he also voted for Matos, RND and Zatterstrom.

Totally agree on Bogle. £8m for a Championship right back who's into a contract option year is decent going. For what it's worth, Wilder may have a say in the minimum value we place on a player (hence Leeds' opening offer of £3m getting laughed at) but he won't be involved in the sales negotiations.

In an ideal world, Osula would have stayed with us last season and fired us to promotion. However, we needed the money and accepting £12m from Newcastle, plus all the add-ons, made sense to all parties.

Seriki, Brooks, Cooper, Bamford and O’Hare.. the rest can get to fuck for me. Absolute wasters. Sadly, I think we’ll lose Seriki and Brooks as they’re two of not many who are athletic and able to go further up the football ladder.

I went with O'Hare, Bamford and Reidewald.

As much as I want players like Peck, Brooks and Seriki to stay, I think we have to accept that we will also need to sell some of them as they are the players with some value.

Must Keep, are the 3 above where they bring a lot to the team but also don't really generate enough cash to bring in a similar replacement (O'hare may do but... I like him)

These are my 5 must keeps as well.

Doubt McCallum & Riederwald will have any interest but also good to keep.

Peck & Hamer it really depends on what we get offered for them as the former won’t be on mega wages.

Rothwell & Blaster could be useful. Can’t really be more optimistic than that !

The rest can leave for free/low fees as I don’t think we’ll see any return on them anyway.

I didn't go for Bamford and Riedewald for those very reasons. Bamford, whilst still scoring a few looked pretty off it in quite a few games towards the end of season and he isn't getting any younger, his touch wasn't great and he missed a few absolute sitters. Keep him by all means but get rid of Cannon and Campbell and whatever cash (if any) we get for them two, invest in something better.

Riedewald appeared to be struck by the Blades curse. Looked fine at first but sign a contract then just look too comfortable. He goes sideways and backwards and that isn't what we need. I'd rather we sign Tommy Doyle and get him going, I think he'd offer more.

We need two centre halves for me, Bindon was our best last season and he was hardly a world beater yet he was streets ahead of McGuiness and Tanganga. Scary if we start the season with the two of them again.

I'd argue that Bamford has been that way throughout his entire career. He'll miss some sitters and score a fair few that he has no right to. I'd definitely want to add some proper competition for his spot, but I dread to think where we'd be if we were relying on Cannon, Campbell and Ings for goals all last season.

I disagree on Riedewald. I think he looks a class act at this level and you only need to look at what happens to our goals against and points lost stats when he's not on the pitch for evidence of his impact. This team was desperate for a calm steady presence in the middle and Jairo delivered. I'll concede that he doesn't offer as much going forwards, but he isn't that player and you have to surround him with other players who compliment his strengths. He's a very good shield in front of defence and in possession, he keeps things ticking over and is always showing for the ball.

Keep anyone that is young with some sort of ceiling that will allow them to appreciate in value. Literally anyone else can go.

None are must keep. All of them are replaceable at this level. We struggle to fill an eleven with quality and need around 15 new players to challenge for automatic. That should also be part of the calculus.

The ones I'd least like to lose are Peck, Seriki and Arblaster (worth little now but could return to form). You can also chuck in there a fit Cooper and Brooks. I like McCallum, he seems a decent sort. I'm not averse to flogging any of them for the right price. If they have two years or less on their deals they should 100% be flogged if a good bid is made.

I think when fully fit
Cooper, as good as we can expect in this league
Tanganga, will be decent when he gets a decent partner alongside him
O'Hare, POTY and always puts a shift in
Brooks, because I think he could play any position in midfield, wing and maybe central
Bamford, because he's the only decent forward we have

I'm on board with a number of the comments made, regards who we can afford to keep!! Can't see the manager,(whoever that may be!!) having much to spend.
In a perfect world, I would like to see, Cooper, Tanganga, Burrows, Seriki, O'Hare, Hamer, Arblaster, Peck, McCallum, Bamford and possibly Riederwald.
There's going to be plenty of pretty decent players out there without massive fees on their heads looking for clubs. Very good recruitment is needed!!

Literally a lol MOMENT re Wilders good fees

wILDER HAD DCL for a full season
'Sold' him to Everton to take an immediate place in the Prem (in his start position of midfield)
for a reported £800K but was said by Dave Unsworth to be much less!
Is that really a good price for a young starter in the Prem? (clue rhetorical question)
******* brilliant if you are buying from the imbecile
The WORRYING thing is I do not think you were joking!
Under Ancellotti he was rated as a £75 million target for Manure!
Same as David Brookes was three months into him playing REGULARLY following his transfer
before a serious injury and before serious illness which put the nail in that coffin.

As for Bogle he was our best player the previous Prem season
That was why he was Leeds NO 1 TARGET
But he had had just two disastrous, embarrassing seasons under Wilder in the Prem
and would not stay
but try his luck with an unknown on the basis it could only be a step up from Wilder
Which it was.
As all our younger players have fled wILDER ASAP

Wilder does not use (OUR) younger players
(eg One who incidentally in two cameos at the end of MillwaLl H then Boro Away looked our best (only?) two footed crosser!)
He's a third rate journeyman who brings in masses of journeymen
on higher wages
in the hope a few of them can combine and sort out a team between them

As for Osula
He was the TOP academy prospect according to those who had overseen the best ever crop including Illiman as well as the others
Osula still has ten years playing at the top level
The fact that I am the only one saying SOMETHING is symptomatic of the ignorance and imbecility surrounding SUFC
I have allocated the name Gormless Gobshite Giddens
BUT FFS the 'village idiot' of Football heaven is actually unbelievably Oxley
or can they do even worse?
You know the imbecile who proudly proclaimed we had ripped Howe off for Osula
(cf Cannon BALLS FFS for one recent one)
This time describing this transfer as a fee for a player who might not perform
Describing Brooks as a RIGHT WINGER
In the phrase 'RIGHT good left WINGER or midfielder' is the only place where that term can be considered relevant
The bloke is brain dead
No wonder some cops spend years without making one arrest if they're as thick as him.
(ignoring people arrestED bleeding out lying on the floor of course)

I will tell you here and now,.
Andre Brooks is already a £30 million player playing correctly under a good manager.
I would sooner have him than Hutchinson and McAtee BOUGHT FOR THAT at Forest
Came to that position watching the U-21's win last summer.
(and here)

If Norwich play him correctly they will be pushing the top teams (but probably failing)
rather than playing for the playoffs.
And whether or not they fail in the playoffs they can still cash in on Brooks
As we could and should have done.

Last season we had two of the best attacking players in the division
But the imbecile played both Brooks and Hamer totally out of position
Hence losing what should have been a guaranteed place in the playoffs
following on what should have been guaranteed autos if not champions.

Methinks the man doth complain too much.
