What do you think about the match?

I think, we will win!

Might want to edit your OP mate, still says Gillingham!

For what it's worth I think we won't lose, that's as far as I am willing to predict. I just get the feeling there is another 'Crewe' just around the corner. I pray I'm wrong, as a win would be huge but I'll go score draw for this one.

Ops,OK.

Had this game down as a sure fire win for weeks, owing to recent form I won't accept any less than 3 points and a clean sheet.

If I recall it's a flat £10 to sit anywhere on Saturday, so given my reduced circumstances even I can extend to that.

Hoping it'll be another good performance from us. I've started to get that monkey off of my back, as in I'm no longer expecting the worst, which could make me either green around the earlobes or that we're building up a head of steam for that home straight. Think the evidence of one win following another is allowing us to play without fear or too many errors. Super Scoogs and, I hope, Gentleman John, will be starters against Brizzle, and their impact is bringing the best out of the rest of the boys. It's been noted elsewhere, but you have to applaud Howard for his unspectacular performances up until now. He's commanded his area, in turn this has lifted the performances of our back four, and we're looking like a decent unit once again.

Cloughie, whatever you're putting in their tea, can I have some please?

Back four is so much better with a confident, experienced goalkeeper behind them. He's deserved a run of fixtures since Long's level tailed off at the end of last year. now he's got a place, he's doing well. And I wouldn't call his performance against Forest "unspectacular." His saves kept us in the game when it was at 1-1.

Agree mate, was making a general observation though. Yes, against Forest he was THE MAN, but what I like is that he quietly commands his box and you can see the defence feel so much more confident as a result. Can't recall a serious criticism of Maguire or Collins for a few weeks, and their performance levels have been consistently good.

That Maguire/Collins/Brayford/Harris combo is the best SUFC back 4 I've seen for a while.

Absofuckinglutely fella. I know many on here have stated that come the end of this season Brayford will be gone, but we owe it to ourselves to do everything within our power to hold onto Brayford for at least another season, it will make so much difference to our chances of making a promotion push next season. It's like having another attacker with John in the side......but none of this is to underestimate Howard's resurgence as our No1. Completely agree about the quality and solidity of our defence, long may it continue......another 3 points on Saturday please UTB

It would improve yet further if Maguire and Collins were a little more hirsute.

Up the Beards!

I just Daren't think we are going to win. Firstly cos everytime I do we get beaten, I think the players have been complacent thinking we have won before leaving the dressing room especially against Crewe, Gills at home and maybe even against Walsall. Hopefully those days are gone especially with the new players we have in. Secondly Bristol City were welded to the bottom of league 1 until Cotterill turned them round, so they must be a well organised unit who has got them playing for each other. So its not a foregone conclusion.

Its a game we have to be wary of the opposition who like us are below expectation , they have one or two players that can perform on the day , but this isnt the day 4-1 to us as momentum builds to our famous cup win

I guess I'm glass virtually empty rather than slopping over the top when half full. I hope you are right it would be amazing. But can you explain how we get past either or both Arsenal and Man City?

Kolarov, Kompany et al will be no match for the incisive pace and determination of Baxter.

If NC is bringing Scoogs and Murphy back into the starting line-up along with Davies coming in who gives way in the midfield? as presumably Brayford will be back and we will be 442ish. Maybe he will rest Coady McGinn and Flynn have those three with Doyle (who had a rest whilst the rest of the lads were slogging their guts out)?

I think we'll see a much different approach to the game tomorrow. The pressure will be on us to push forward so I would imagine Clough will make us look more mobile and add some pace to the side.

City have a very similar record to us over the last 10 games. They too are" on the up."

____________Howard
Brayford Maguire Collins Harris
_____________Doyle_____________
Davies Coady Scougall Murphy
____________Baxter

Subs:- Long, Hill, McGinn, Flynn, Porter, Paynter, De Girolamo

Seem to be plenty of goals at both ends when Bristol City play, two strikers on 17 goals but in the bottom 8 tells it's own story.

Need to score a couple at least if we are to win today as I expect Bristol to score.

Hopefully 2 - 1 win

I look forward to the time when we can remove Doyle from that picture and add a name further forward. I appreciate the time has not yet come but next season....

Coady and Scoogs have the makings of a mouthwatering partnership and not just as a couple of L.A. detectives.
