Scary that Tom Cannon....

People using Cannon as scapegoat of the week and then by association Chris Wider for buying him.
Wilder bought Cannon. Cannon is shite.

The term scapegoat should be changed to honest opinion.

Bet you think he’s greatso kudos to you.

10 million wasted. That with the 20 million on Brewster. Awesome!

tom cannon his class in this league its a fact he has 9 goals this season hes proven at this level scores for fun for stoke city he cant score if hes always warming the dam bench play him from off with tyrese campbell give a bloke a break ,he will come good youll see rock on tommy will be a kop legend once he hits the net it will never end goals galore ,aaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I was skeptical about this signing. It felt like we were overpaying in a situation where only looking in the domestic market limited the options and drove up prices.

However, the lad has played less than five games worth of minutes, spread across ten appearances (mostly as a sub), while he's settling into a new club and dealing with an injury.

It's simply far too early to know how good he is.

Whilst on the not scoring topic: by my count it's now about 534 Jacky 'long throws' since we scored from one. No plan b as with many other aspects of our game.
Mentioned earlier: there was no need to replace Campbell/Brewster with 2 out of form players who haven't scored this year. Love Vinnie but he's not a match winner, O'hare or Davis would have been better choice. Putting Raksaki onis a gamble as wingers are either on or off. Putting Alfie on & Seriki further forward would have been my choice.
Peck made himself 4 or 5 chances & looked as likely to score as anyone, why take him off???
Plan B worked well again. I think we finished the game with less of an attack minded side than before the subs. Thought Seriki and Raksaki were causing a lot of problems down the right. Then Plan BB Centre Half Rob Holding totally killed that off. If Gilchrist was on the bench would a straight swap not have made more sense?? Taking Seriki off was the worst of a bad set of subs .. crazy.

May as well put Cannon & Ball on up front.
O'Hare seems to have lost confidence after being dropped.

Just going to wait for the ludicrous "i thought all the subs were right" comment.

I believe 3 of Cannon's were penalty's and 4 goals were in 1 game.

He's not made an impact in a single one of the games he's come off the bench. In fact I don't think we've scored a goal when he has?

So what does our genius manager do when desperately chasing a goal at home to Millwall....

Brings Cannon on

Then puts O'Hare alongside him, who also hasn't looked like scoring all season

Incredible

Did anybody in the stadium expect that to work?

It's a great point. Taking off all our major goalscorers for non goalscorers.

Then pass it from side to side to side for 30 minutes

Moore and Cannon would have made more sense

I actually forget he is on the pitch.

Moore after a decent appearance for Wales the other week is probably wondering how the fuck he isn't getting on the pitch especially with the height Millwall have.

At least Moore. Anything to give us some kind of focal point..... anything. Even if its just a lump who'll win headers

Not trying to be over the top here at all but Cannon doesn't offer a single thing

He's barely had a touch when he's been on the pitch. Doesn't win the ball, run, dribble, link..... nothing

I'm convinced wilder signs players from 3 minute YouTube clips

At least be fair with it, we brought him on to put him up against Cooper with poorly placed balls in the air. He made at least a couple of decent runs, one where we actually played a ball to where he wanted it.

Whilst you’d have expected more of an impact since signing…

There’s a list of folk - playing panic, try and force it desperately when it’s not there, abandon any shape or plan football - to go down before getting anywhere near Cannon tonight.

Agree about Cannon, but if CW must bring him on at least give him a partner to give him a chance

He's been on the pitch for less than five games worth of minutes. He's actually played for about 15 minutes total, if we're being generous.

Football matches are things that sometimes happen in Tom Cannon's vicinity, not something he partakes in.

The panic tonight was surreal. It was as if we couldn't function mentally with a deficit

I'm not one for getting on the back of any player who is trying their best, but what concerns me about Canon is the complete lack of pace. He isn't big so won't win headers or hold it up, therefore one of his main attributes should be pace. It's not like he's short of match fitness which will impact sharpness. Hopefully he'll improve but I don't see any redeeming fundamentals in his game at the moment.

Didn't it come out at the time that the Cannon signing was one pushed by the owners rather than one Wilder was demanding we spent 10m on? Wilder has a habit of wasting big transfer fees but sure I remember that this one was the owners target to make a statement.

That being said, really have no idea what Cannon offers. People say he doesn't fit the system but I have no idea what system he would fit. Doesn't get involved in play, doesn't seem to make good runs, doesn't win headers, doesn't seem to get in poachers positions and not even sure I have seen that he is a clean striker of the ball that was said of him. Hope I am wrong on all of the above but not sure what has made people see him as a 10+m striker.
Bang on the money,
