Not to be "that guy" putting aside where does he play. It would also be how many games are we going to get, last season he only played 23 in the Championship - 6 missed due to a hip injury, also suffering a knee injury in 20/21 that put him out for a season. If he is fit then maybe worth a punt but be interesting to know why he wasn't playing regularly

It would be good to have someone who can play that wide forward role, similar to Brereton Diaz, who can make up that second striker and give Moore support.

Seems to be rumblings on twitter that he’s the one coming in along side Rak Sayki.

Finally some pacey wingers.

You'd imagine it's going to take him a few weeks to get upto speed because he hasn't had a proper pre-season.

This one does smack of we just need some numbers.

Still going to need another striker of course.

Seeing as we like to chase targets for about 5 years. Akpom on loan?

He can’t be any worse than the backup options we’ve got both from a finishing and injury perspective so probably worth a cheap punt.

I’d be relatively happy with this one.

His scoring record looks decent, it’s an area where we have limited options and he’s got some pace - and he has pedigree coming from city originally.

Makes sense if it happens

Think he'd be a good addition as a backup forward/wing option. Looking at his stats, he averages a goal every 250 mins in the Championship - less than 3 games per goal.

In a vacuum, assuming playing every minute of the league season, that would be 10-15 goals.

However, of his 142 Champ appearances, he's only completed 90 mins 30 times (subbed on 55 times, subbed off 57 = 112). So he doesn't seem reliable enough to be first choice (at least not on the surface).

If we get the Rak-Sakyi deal over the line, then I could see this being one to cover all across the forward line. He could do a solid job on either wing, in the 10 position behind Moore, or as the focal striker, trying to get in behind with his pace. Having someone versatile like that would really help take the strain.

We need a few more wingers/strikers. He's good and he's free.

Thought he looked talented whenever I’ve seen him. If perhaps a little nesh and lazy but certainly a good option for free

We need some perms in and he’s got headroom to improve

Hearing a lot of Stoke fans calling him lazy, hopefully being a free agent up until now has kicked him up backside. Decent signing all in all imo

Stoke fans have been less than complimentary. Apparently he's injury prone, a poor finisher and on a fairly large wage for the Championship. I fear he'll just take up a space that could have been given to one of our promising youngsters.
It depends where you look. When I checked a few weeks ago I saw a fair few who reckon he'll look better in a side more functional and creative than theirs, and that he's still a very talented player who's maybe lost his way there. Fancy him to have an impact if he does sign and manages to stay fit.

We do need numbers. We

We just sold the two strikers on the verge of championship football

We don’t have many promising young forwards left though, only Marsh and Oné

I was sad to see him go but admittedly that’s probably mostly fuelled by frustration at unfulfilled promise.

He’s so talented, great finisher. I think he could easily play in the Prem but application and fitness are the problem, It’s a shame. If I was any other Champ club I’d snap up the chance to give him a fresh start though.

Top quote there by potterlog sounds good.

As long as the wages aren’t too high then I’m happy with it. Our attack is thread bear at the minute and if we got a couple of injuries we’ll be significantly weaker up top. The youngsters upfront haven’t proven anything yet and need time to develop IMO, in the meantime Campbell can be a valuable squad member.

Wonder if he’s the forward the accountant was on about
