I'm more bothered that there's another gap in the squad than I am about Bogle leaving.

For me, if you combined Baldock and Bogle then you'd have a perfect defender. Baldock was defensively solid on the whole, but he was poor and too hesitant going forward. Bogle was better going forward but defensively lacking and often got caught out of position.

I'd rather have kept Bogle as a winger, but if selling Bogle and Traore means that we can keep Hamer and sigh more players, then so be it.

I liked Bogle, but I think he was over rated by many of our fans.

Under the Hecky promotion season. When we hit a stutter towards the end of the season and it looked like Boro would catch us. It all changed when Hecky dropped him and replaced him with Baldock.

Last season teams created chance after chance after he lost his man down his side. He was decent going forward but awful defensively

This is a purgatory sale for me. I'm not happy that he's gone but I'm not sad that he's left. Perhaps that's a hangover from a crap season where I don't think I'd be too arsed about anyone leaving us. I reckon the rumoured £5m fee is a bit on the cheap side but I'm also not sure we'd get much more for him.

I'm hoping this means we're steering away from 3-5-2 and leaning towards other formations. Bogle is excellent in the RWB role in an attacking sense, but he can't defend well. So if we're thinking of having a proper RB then Bogle might not quite fit here anymore.

I'd wish him well if he hadn't gone to Leeds.

Hope the wee swine fails at Leeds so I do, 5M isn’t bad money for a full back let’s hope it’s reinvested into the team and not to make up for the money we just spent on Moore and O’Hare wages so it isn’t.

It's that old saying, there's a good footballer in there. Has played really well in patches for us and I understand why Leeds want him. Professionally, it is probably time for him to move on. Wish him all the best - just not against us!

We've got to get used to PA cashing in on the last year of the contract. Set the stall out last year so who's shocked?

Every club end up a one time or another having players that refuse to sign a new contract.

If PSG are going to have this issue with Mbappé, what chance to do we have of avoiding it?

i think theres every chance we will bring a better quality right back in than bogle one that can defend in a back 4 which bogle couldnt probably a loan from a premier league club maybe even this alfie gilchrist that weve been rumoured to be interested in a few times he would do for me

I’ll miss the tricky little winger. I’ve a hunch he won’t be playing as a full back for DL

There’s no firm opinion to form until more recruitment is carried out. But a successful season never hinged on a right back.

Despite the money from Leeds, it’s the departure of Wes, Egan and McBurnie that’s the really big challenge. That was a quality championship level spine in its time. Those don’t come easy or cheap,

I think it's difficult to have lost both right backs at once.

He could play, going forward. But as has been said, he's prone to errors defensively and I wouldn't want him as a RB in a four. He's not sound enough or consistent enough. Also, crucially, last season was an absolute outlier in his career in terms of fitness and availability. I was always awaiting his next lay off.

I wish him well though, GLTTL. Just not against us!

I'm not bothered he's left, I am concerned at the sheer volume of departures and the new faces we will have though.

Even more narked that it's going to be a weaker championship so ripe for the taking next season and we might not be up to speed with cohesion in the team for a few weeks in, and that with others having a two draw start which takes the mickey a bit too.

Good point. He was as bad. Early morning after a sesh. Wee Jinking Jimmy Johnson. Doh!
Well yes, when they were in Sheffield I think they both used to take to the pitch immediately after a lunchtime sesh. Johnstone certainly used to down a few pints before heading to the Lane.

Over all consensus with the lad is

“Disappointing”

When we signed him I thought he was going to do big things and he’s not really got anywhere near what maybe just me thought he would achieve

Wouldn’t have got many games last season, if George had been fit.
Far more disappointed with Baldock going than him.
Wish him well, except when we expose his obvious defensively frailties at the Lane and Elland Road.

No disappointment here. As great as he was for us, it was time for Baldock to go & I think he knew that as well as anyone.

Talking to a Leeds fan last night and I said Bogle was decent going forward but lacked a bit defensively.
Our manager will soon sort that out, was his reply. Wanker!
