Brewster is literally nothing to do with this conversation, why bring him into it?

People calling Bogle out for being poor are ignoring the contribution he made over the past few seasons, he chipped in with a few goals. More than one of our strikers, I think it’s important to point out that he wasn’t as bad as some are suggesting.

Glad we got decent money for him and Gilchrist is a good short term replacement but writing his time off here as bad isn’t fair but is a very Blades fan thing to do. Look at the Egan thread as well, it’s happening there.

I liked Bogle. I was fully willing to accept he wasn't great defensively.

I'm not intending to single you out, but this is what I don't get. He was a defender, not a winger, and he was awful at defending, but for some reason our fans tolerated awful defending for an occassional goal. Not that he was prolific as the most he scored in any season was three.

Same with McBurnie. "I can accept he didn't score many goals as he was great at defending set pieces."

Neither of these did their job but were praised by our fans for this.

....and yet Kieffer Moore is getting criticised for not scoring, in a system where he's playing up top on his own, where he's not expected to be prolific in that role. His role is to hold up the ball and link up with the midfield three behind him. So far he's doing that job. He will score the occasional goal but that's not his out and out role in this system.

The mind boggles!!!

Our fans only got it half right themselves in a lot of cases. Most agreed Lowe was bad but plenty thought Bogle was great, bafflingly.

Bogle as a defender is a square peg in a round hole. He’s an average right side AM

Rather see Brookes running at him based on what we’ve seen so far. Think Rak Saki looks like he’s come here just to showcase himself not play for a team so far. Needs his head wobbling.
