I think we did really well to get the money we did for a lad we paid 3 million for (as part of the Lowe package) with less than twelve months left on his contract, after two serious knee surgeries amongst other injuries.
The most promising he's looked was actually at Derby when he got double figures in assists in the Championship as a teen. At that time he was an absolute bargain pickup and looked to have a very high ceiling. He was inconsistent, had flakey fitness and attitude issues at United. He never pushed on enough to deserve to dislodge a fit Baldock - he got the shirt more because Baldock's fitness declined as he approached 30 .
Last season he was an absolute joke (not the only one) until Wilder returned when he noticeably picked up. United did very well to double their money on the Lowe/Bogle package. I'd say he was the biggest no brainer outgoing we had.People say we massively overpaid for Cannon. Bogle, with only 12 months on his deal, paid 3/4 of his initial fee!
