Is this his first league appearance for them? I never really begrudge anyone a move from United, specially when it's a lateral move but that's one wank way to end your first league appearance.

Agent Bogle.

Poor defending that, gifting Pompey a last minute penalty. We told them he’s good going forward but can be a liability in defence.

The Pompey player made a meal of it but don’t think the ref has any choice but to give it.

Baht reyt!

Wow….just watched that - Leeds defence is scarily bad. Never mind them looking for wingers / strikers….they seriously need a leader to get them organised at the back. I can see them conceding more than they should this season unless they strengthen.

For pompey’s second he headed right to the scorer. Then he continued to wrestle his opponent to the floor. Shit defender hope the weeds enjoy

Bogle simply cannot play in a 4 at the back. Poor defensively. No wonder we sold him

He’s a good player but needs to be in a side that attacks down the flanks with wingbacks. That’s where he’s at his best, we all know this and anyone watching him at all over the last few seasons would also see this quickly.

He’s good on the ball and I know people here wanted to see him played further forwards. I don’t know if that would work as a lot of his success has been on the overload, joining attacks being quite hard to mark when he comes from deep or comes along with an attacking RCB….

What we all know is that defensively, in a back 4 he gets exposed very easily, that’s why Baldock was often better in big games because he could defend with some sacrifices on his delivery because he didn’t let much past him.

It’s a long way round it but it makes Leeds decision to sign him a strange one when he’s poor defensively in a 4

I know that they’ll expect to be attacking more, so you can see the logic, but Gilchrist last night looked far more balanced for us

We all know bogle has a habit of drifting to centre back and leaving his winger totally free, told a Leeds fan that last week

Bogle is what he started his career out as. A right winger who can play wide midfield. Not capable of playing RB because he has no defensive discipline and his reading of the what is going on behind him is very poor. A very good RWB going forward but don't expect him to get back to cover quickly when it breaks down. Today was classic Bogle. A threat going forward at pace but exposed when it came to the basics of defending. First goal he drifts into the centre as he did frequently for us and leaves the left side exposed allowing Pompeys scorer too much time and space.

Second goal weak header gives Pompey the ball back leading to second goal. Gets exposed positionally, one of his weaknesses, for the third and gives away the pen. Yet on 2 or 3 occasions going forward he set up chances and was involved in the move that led to Weeds penalty.

The only downside of today is Farke realises he's not a RB and reverts to a 3 which they have been playing pre season. He's an asset when playing to his strengths, defending isn't one of them. Having said that having Ethan error prone Ampadu alongside you won't help.

Best summed up by the Weeds fan who posted " How is it our right back spends most of his time alongside our left back" :D

Well said Addison!

I cannot answer in any other way than quoting your post,

It is when they insist on leaving, and then sign for a team with a lesser contemporary standing than ourselves, Leeds, Burnley being the immediate references, that we understand their potential...

It is curious that Oli McBurnie is the one who seems to have benefited most of all from his stint at the lane!

I'd hazard a guess at yes , seen as though last season he played for Sheffield United and today is Leeds first game of the season

I was more gutted about Baldock going than Bogle. If we played Bogle as an out and out winger then I'd have happily kept him. As a full/wing back, no thanks. He's always been suspect in defence and how many penalties has he given away? He's always been a defensive liability and I honestly thought we'd ripped off Leeds at £5mil. The last time I thought we'd ripped off a team was selling Tonge to Stoke and Gray to Sunderland.

Don't wingers need to be able to cross or pass ?
