Leeds agree 5m deal for Bogle do this club ever learn, why on earth are we selling to a direct rival.

Maybe Leeds are the only ones interested in paying a decent fee? I haven't seen rumours of many other clubs being in for him.

If, and I stress if, the lad won't sign a new contract then sadly we have a difficult decision. Run down his contract for a year and watch him walk for free next summer, or take what we can get now, regardless of who is paying. We aren't in a position to let players walk, so the choice is clear.

It's frustrating because everyone is pinning their hopes on a takeover to prevent things like this happening, but it's anybody's guess how close that is. In the meantime we play with the hand we have.

For what it's worth I have enjoyed watching Bogle, when he was at his best, but I do think he is replaceable.

While he might have struggled last season in the best league in the world but let's be honest 90% of our players did, he'll be more than fine in the Championship infact I will go as far to say he'll be one of the best RB in the division.
Big loss and one we will struggle to replace.

Leeds took advantage of his contact situation and made an offer. The interest was put to Bogle and he said he wanted to go. Anyone that knows Wilder will understand that when a player says he wants to go- he goes. We need players that want to be here and be part of the rebuild. Bogle didn't. United have held out for as much as they can realistically get for a player in his last year. He's gone, move on and get someone in that wants to be here. I personally don't think, like many of here, that he's a RB and a RWB doesn't fit what appears to be a new formation

This club never learn we have a great opportunity of getting straight back into the Premier league this season and yet again the powers that be are showing a complete lack of ambition.

The day we actually get. a board room with a proper footballing brain is the day we start moving forward and start getting our best players tied down on proper contracts.

I would play more games does it make me a good signing. Players injuries are inevitable in elite sports and it doesn’t matter who you sign.

Can’t argue with the fee if he’s not signing a new deal. But it’s another position to replace so hope we’ve got irons in the fire.

We risk again going into the season undercooked (CB, RB, GK, AM) and on negative points - hardly the recipe for promotion

Separate question about why so few people are willing to sign new contracts with us.

I honestly can't see the fuss in Bogle, defensively he's a shambles, and loses concentration stacks of times during the match. Attacking was his strength, and when it paid off he looked good, when it didn't he looked all over the place. I really find the love in from some posters for Bogle, strange. He's a decent Championship wing back who had been held back with injuries which will plague him throughout his career. He doesn't want to be here and doesn't really fit a back four formation. Water off a ducks back for me with this lad going. Plenty more fish on the sea. Who importantly, would like to be here and not Leeds.

Oh, and whilst he didn't stink the place out like some last season, he was still part of the worst set of fuckers who I cam recall seeing represent the club. Maybe the relegation squad to the fourth in 81 edged them with lack of guts. Bye JB.
